Look at the top 5 sites in the Search results

Are they big Authority sites? e.g. MSN, Forbes, NYT, NASA, .Gov, Wikipedia, Harvard.edu etc etc
If so move on to another keyword, you are not ranking squit against these sites.

Look for weak affiliate sites, small blogs, forum links, .pdf doc links, sites with super-long urls
and assorted miscellaneous crappy sites in the top ten.

These types of sites may be relatively easy to beat.

But my advice to you is something well worth it, using not very accurate free!
ahrefs you can use to check the competition, or type the keyword on google to see if any doamin topped! bring them to check domain content! Baif write their spin, from which you can build content for optimizing onpage! That also means you can win rank!
