Any body getting results with Tumblr links?

Hello folks,

Just a quick question here. Is anyone here still getting success with expired Tumblr link building in 2016? What metrics do you look out for? Looking forward to hearing from you guys. thanks...

    I use them. For certain projects I like to use them as a buffer site (tier 1) link to the money site. I have never seen any movement from an expired tumblr on its own, it's more about what you do behind the tumblr that has an impact

        Yeah. I use tumblr to market my pinterest accounts. Which helps fuel my social media accounts. Which eventually drive traffic to my sites.

        Tumblr (photo blog) -> Pinterest  -> FB -> Twitter -> Site
                                  -> FB -> Site
                                  -> Twitter -> Site
        I hope that makes sense. This has zero direct impact on SEO.

        But it's like a whitehat PBN for social shares.

        Just do outreach on the tumblr, it's not hard to get links from other tumblrs. You can also freely do manual whitehat blog commenting using the tumblr as the address. Most bloggers won't care and it can drive some more traffic to the tumblr.

    Soooo, I've had pretty decent results with expired Tumblrs. I'm about to set things on fire with Pinterest ones as well. Are we allowed to drop links here? I can share Franklin's post (from online dimes) and my own findings, if someone can tell me that it's alright to links/URLs to other posts here

    Use delicious, digg, diggo and reddit instead of tumblr. They provide you with better results.

    My clients are getting results. But the key is that even an expired tumblr needs some links pointing at it, which makes investing in Tier 2 links important.
