I have targeted 6 keywords. One main and other 5 is sub keywords.
I am trying everything do increase my serps but no luck.
I have created backlink. Most of them no follow but few have do follow too.
Around 80% niche related backlink and 20% is not.

My main competitors all have niche blog and most them less updated their blog since 1 years or so.
But, i think they are doing their seo part. Their domain is old so they are getting extra advantages too.

However, I want to rank my all keywords in top 10.
So what can i do right now?

Build more relevant backlinks to a highly informative post. Thats how you should go.

Great question. For you to understand this, you need to understand how link metrics work and what you feel is a good link. There's no right or wrong answer but you need a guideline eg

        Gain links which follow these:
        1. Old website
        2. Regularly cashed
        3. Has good TF and CF (Majestic)
        4. Has good DA and PA (Moz)
        5. 100+ linking domains
        6. Relevant to your niche
        7. Has its own social following
        8. Cheap for your to gain, expense/time wise

There are more factors but you need to come up with your own metrics.

Take a look at the top 10 positions for each keyword....what is similar that all pages are doing? Look specifically at the on page seo and then their back link profile for
    -anchor text ratios
    -# of back links
    -types of anchors

average out those for each keyword in the top 10 and that will give you an idea of where you need to go. Some niches have aggressive linking with EM and PM anchors, others do not. The SERPs will show you what is needed for that niche

Start branding your domain and website. Open up social accounts Twitter, Tumblr, blogger ect... and link back to your site. If the keywords you are targeting have fairly low competition then some web 2.0 and social links can do wonders. If the competition is more moderate to hard then you'll need some more powerful links.

  • Okay, you ask a lot in the one question.

First off, we don't know how competitive your keywords are. Maybe they are just too competitive and you won't be able to rank for them.

Perhaps long tail keywords may be a better target.

Secondly, you've not indicated what kind of backlinking you have actually done to your site, what pages/posts, what anchor text you've used, what outsourcers you've used.

Remember... back links can hurt you if they are not relevant. Always build links that are relevant to your site. Google could also ding you for having links that are not quality. YOU want quality links that pertain to your site but relevant backlinks are the key.

Thirdly, we don't know what your blog posts are like, how natural the content is etc.

Gone are the days, say 10 years ago, when it was just super easy to rank for anything you wanted -- and fast.

Things have changed a lot since then and Google is very specific about what it's looking for these days.

Think relevancy, natural content, informative content, a great visitor experience...long pieces of content.

These days whenever I add content to my blogs I'm doing a minimum of 1500 words and these product reviews are converting greatly.

    Hope this helps.

    Have a blissful day.

    Warmly,

    Colleen
