Back in the Game - Amazon Affiliate

Sup, so I started doing a lot of projects just because I'm trying to build multiple streams of
income.

Anyway, thought I'd share this.

I started this affiliate site back in late September. And now, it's finally capturing organic traffic through targeted + long tail keywords.

My strat is as follows..

- Pick a niche
- SEMRUSH for competitor analysis
- Identify competitor that's an affiliate as well.
- Create site
- Create content (optimize it - h1, h2, title tags, silo structure/internal linking)
- add content every week
- Create social accounts
- Post on social accounts
- Order press releases - (month 1-3)
- Order social signals
- Order / create web 2.0's with tiered linking. GSA -> FCS networker -> Unique web 2.0 -> Affiliate money site (month 1-3)
- Order / create PBN's (month 4-6)

Once I started to rank a bunch of keywords, I would then tweak my page up a bit (title tags, headings, add more content to the current page).

Anyway, that's the strat I use. Everyone else may have a similar or different strat but there you go. Gnite!

  • Hey Paul, glad to see that you're still rocking Amazon.

    • Haha thanks! I was MIA for a bit as I got into other channels such as SEM, PPC, and Social. But then I realized that I just love SEO too much ahah.

I also got heavily into corporate SEO which I liked in the beginning, and then I realized it just wasn't as fun as affiliate marketing - SEO .
      • [ 2 ] Thanks

  • Again this is one of my sites that I just tested as I stopped doing affiliate amazon sites back in 2012 and now just getting back to it.

Who knows, my second site I may not use web 2.0 at all. That's the beauty is that I'm testing and getting results . I'm sure other sites that I'll be testing will also fail as I go a bit more "aggressive".

I was doing this around 2010-2012, I was building 2.0s and lightly building links with tools into them. I have about 300 web 2.0s total (content via Philippines VA with the tiers set up all wacky, some t1s have 7 t2s and those t2s have random amounts of t3s) linking to my old affiliate sites and all of those projects are pretty much ready for flippa.com ...

Granted the t1 content was ESL quality. There was a period in 2012 where the whole project kind of tanked by about 60%.

Again, not exactly the same strategy...
      • [1] reply
  • I'd agree that you're wasting time (I get why you're doing it, though) on a few aspects, but GSA -> FCS -> Web 2.0s/PBNs is my basic linking structure.

Once you've got the system in place, it takes 10 minutes to build new linking funnels vs requesting guest post spots.

That said, guest posting on legitimately stingy (rarely link out) websites is 10x more powerful than building up link funnels using the strategy outlined above -- and a lot less risky.

The whole Trustflow metric is what throws off the GSA -> FCS -> Web 2.0s/PBNs and could eventually be it's downfall. You're not getting true Tf, instead manipulating the metric.

Like you said, though. It works great (right now) and might as well get it while the gettin's good.

As far as $ / time invested per link, it's the best bang for the buck greyhat strategy I've found in a long time.

Infographics, in my opinion, are the single best way to pad your link profile with legitimate whitehat links.

Infographics are the best bang for the buck whitehat strategy I've EVER found that can easily be scaled.
    • [1] reply
    • Which aspect do you feel like I'm wasting time on? Is it the press release or is it the social signals?
      • [1] reply
  • Great insights though. With my niche site #1 , I'm ranking a lot of terms not sure if I'll change the strat that already works. But for niche site 2, I'd be more happy to implement infographics, guest posting, and go a bit more aggressive than usual.
  • Glad we still got contributors in this forum. Looks like it all depends on the "thread" :p.

I have about 32 pages on niche site 1. Main competitor has 250 indexed pages. One internal page is capturing a huge bulk of the keywords. Working on optimizing the others now.
  • Let me know if you two want in on a skype mastermind group. I started one with a group of marketers from charles floate's forum and also stack that money forum. We have about 26 members and am very selective of who to add.
  • Yeah, you can shoot me a link to it or add 'synnuh' on Skype. I dunno how much time I'll have to contribute.

Not that I put much weight on it, but most people don't like me lol ;D

I get my kicks trolling Type-A personalities. I guess that means I'm Type A+. See what I mean? ^_^

You just happened to catch the stars aligning, and me and irawr agreeing on something.

  • Do you still use Wolfmmi's strategy that involves promoting newly released products?

Do you only post product reviews on your site or also informational articles which have no affiliate links?
    • [1] reply
    • Woah! haven't heard from you in a while. No I don't use wolfmmi's strat at all hahaha.

I use product reviews as an inner page, but i target more broad search volume. I have a ton of informational articles as well, "how to" guides or "news" on the niche.

Whoever owns Best Massage Chair Reviews 2016 - Comprehensive Guide I envy you. $$$$$$$$$$$!!!

Anyway, Will be testing out niche site 2. Again, I'm also doing a churn and burn approach. I don't really care this is me just testing things out and see what works and what doesn't, or what's more efficient.

I plan on having 20 niche sites going on before the year is over. Will keep this thread updated IF it doesn't close down.

    Let the games begin!!!!

  • I like to use a similar linking strategy, but I do it slightly different:

GSA KS --> URL SHORTENER --> WEB2.0--> MS

Similar but different, it's working for me at the moment

Please tell me you're building email lists...

I've thought about doing stuff like to build lists a bunch of times. Or to promote a bunch of JVzoo stuff since it pays to paypal.
      • [1] reply
  • This is a good thread.

In terms of using GSA etc and worrying about the site getting slapped..... You just have to know what you are doing. TEST and TRACK. If you listened to most advice then you would already know that GSA stopped working years ago (wink wink).

The reason that I do what I do is simple, it works. You are sending a large amount of links through a tier of shorteners that can absorb the spam and send the juice to a web2.0 with high DA that in turn juices up the MS.

One thing to add about GSA, sometimes its not so much the site getting slapped, it's link loss. You need to keep sending links to keep those properties sending the juice. I keep adding new web2.0 campaigns every 3 weeks or so to combat the link loss. I have one project right now that has a whole lot of keywords on page 2. It needs SAPE or PBN to take it home but I am struggling to fund SAPE right now after they switched to the 3d verify system
  • Yep: test, track, and tweak it is.
  • Update:

Made my first $100 in one day on niche site #1.

Rankings dropped by 3% overall, could be that I added PBN links (it's been a month since I added some more). I'm hoping that my keywords will recover.

Currently working on niche site 2. Doing a different approach. Implementing blog commenting just for anchor text ratio.

Will keep you guys updated. Goal by the end of this weekend is to have Niche site 3 launched.

I'm testing all sorts of link building - even for those that don't recommend certain link building strats, I'm still going for it, for my own sake / my own lame ass ego.

    Anyway, happy Friday. Keep fighting!
  • Update:

Site overall visibility in keyword position dropped by 3% out of the 1,000 indexed keywords.

Page 2 rankings had a much more dramatic drop.

As of today, rankings recovered SLIGHTLY but there's still a drop going on.

    Traffic dropped by 20 visitors.

As a lot of my peers said, don't look at it every day, and come back 14 days to see where it's at that then.

So far, have made $600+ ish in revenue.

Working on Niche site #2. I'm looking for a web 2.0 service cheaper than the hoth. if you can recommend one let me know.

This one - I've spent $45 per article, so let's see how this will turn out.

Sandbox 2.0 Makes me want to rip my penis off.

I hope the 2nd domain was either aged (with content on it) or was expiring and you obtained it before it dropped.

I gave up on 10 sites on new domains (Started this project around February, I was thinking, either I need to build these sites or let the domains expire.) As soon as I do any link building they tank and get locked on page 15+. Those sites are getting beaten down by spam and irrelevant content where the words happen to be on the page.

One site I bought social shares, waited a week, built one single PBN link with a branded anchor and three days later, boom, page 15+ on every keyword minus the domain/brand.

If you or anybody else has any incite into this I'd love to hear it.

It's so incredibly frustrating to think "well I can put 10 hours of work into an established site and I'll make more money, or I can work on this new site and it will do me absolutely no good what so ever."

I feel like I'm throwing money into the toilet pretty bad here. Working on an article for a domain I got that was expiring at the moment.

  • Update

Rankings recovered (this is SEMRUSH by the way).

As of today, my targeted keyword hit rank #1 !! Woo hoo!

I've been building PBN's to it every other week. I'm at that point now where I'm just fixing my on-page, split testing using hotjar as my heatmap, and just adding content every week.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • So - just a recap.

Built site in September 2015. All I did was create an authority site, with several money pages with 4 supporting articles (internal linking).

Keywords went to page 2 some time in month 4.

Month 6 - 8 is where my keywords are in rank 1-5.

I went with press releases, web 2.0's, and then pbns pbns pbns pbns pbns.

I'm going to replicate this process 10x times.

This site is averaging around $60 ish a day. There's still a lot of room for improvement. I have 6 big keywords that I want, and one of them finally hit rank 1. Can't wiat ot get the other 5 keywords.

In the mean time, I'm working on 4 other sites.

    Let's go.

  • I just made my first $100 in one day for this amazon affiliate site. I'm almost done with this site, just tightening up the on-page.
  • Testing out seolyze https://www.seolyze.com right now to see what my competitors are doing specifically for on-page.

Pretty fun. Never thought I'd get back into affiliate sites lol.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Perhaps one of you guys can answer this...

Hey guys, let's say I have the home page, and then 4 supporting articles. 4 of those supporting articles happens to be the $$ (main target pages). How would you distribute your backlinks ? 50% to home page , 10% on article 1, 10% on article 2, 10 % on article 3, 10% article 4? Or???

And this is assumption that everything is silo'd properly, so you have those 4 supporting articles with internal links from the home page. but you're not trying to rank the home page as it's not really the "Money" page.
so is there really a # / percentage of how you distribute your backlinks. Or do you just put your backlinks to which page is ranking higher and u focus your attention there? While just creating links to the home page to make it "natural" ?

    Thanks!

    • Great post man!

I am looking into getting back to the Amazon affiliate program. What sounds a bit hard for me at the moment is picking the right niche and appropriate keywords. Have any additional tips for this?

Also, may be off topic, but I've re-applied to the amazon associates program and as a website put a blogspot blog which has several posts. Not sure if I am allowed to link to it here, but blog posts are several years old, although still getting some visits. Any chance that they could reject me? And am I allowed to make the first sale from some other website or it must be exactly that one?

    • I've tried to do some research, but having hard time deciding on which niche to go. There are affiliate sites everywhere with really good content. Do you have any limit of how many affiliate sites would you go against on the first page?

    • I follow your thread, it is exciting. I used to success with Amz aff in 2013. Now, I back to the game and feel hard to rank the keywords. I try blog comment with manually now and see it works or not.
I have a question for you. Why did your income of 1st site decrease from $100 to $50/day? Did you update it frequently?
      • [1] reply
    • I had trouble with article order, I've gone with a freelancer site and this guy is taking forever to write product reviews. I will probably cancel him and try to find someone else or just go to iWriter. Do you write main money pages yourself or ordering the content from somewhere?

Also, if you took fairly similar approach for all of your sites, why do you think sites 2 and 3 are still stuck? They maybe just need more time or competition is too hard?

  • Thought I'd update this for those that care.

My affiliate site has been on a steady pace at $1,200-1,500 a month. Roughly around 180-240 visitors a day. Right now I"m working on CRO by using optimizely for A/B testing.

However, I do spend about $250 for my monthly backlinks. Currently spending on PBN's (rental). Yes, I'm lazy in setting up my own PBN's.

I have a total of 30 PBN's for this site. Not sure if I went for the overkill, but I want to make sure I stay on the top >=).

I've diversified my anchor texts with the following..
    target keyword
target + misc (click here to read more about puppy food)
    naked urls

Each money page has about 2500 words with 10 internal supporting pages.

  • One of the tools that I really like is seolyze.com

It's a german site but you can switch to english. You pop in a keyword, and it'll analyze the top 10 competitors and will break it down for you as far as each sites number of h1 tags, h2 tags, h3 tags. It will also show you a graph of keywords that are important, and individual keyword that you should increase OR even decrease; as well as what keywords to add in your content.

Do you take questions ? If yes..

    1) How do you find a category or product to sell ?
    2) Do you do keyword research ? and how do you do it ?
    3) Which PR sites do you use ? and which are Google-friendly , do you use a service to submit to all sites at once?
    4) How do you design infographics ? do you outsource it ?

    Thanks.

    • 1 and 2 are very similar. As mentioned earlier, you can go to bestproducts.com slap on semrush and get all the keywords with "best" in it. From there, I manually go through each keyword (with a min of 1000 searches), and see if it has a ton of affiliate sites on the first page. If so, I go for it.
      2) Press release sites? I use press synergy.
      3) Infographics, I use fiverr. I don't really do a lot of infographics.

  • Hi Paul,

I've been quietly reading your thread for a couple of weeks now...good and interesting stuff...

I have quite a few questions for you that I hope you don't mind answering about your 1st site that you started with and are doing pretty good with...

    1. When you first created the site back in September 2015 how many pages did you initially create?

    2. How many pages does that site have now and do you plan on creating more pages?

    3. In your opinion is it okay to start a new site out with 100+ pages? If so or if not, could you explain why?

    4. Based on your OP it seems like it took about 6 months to get any traction with ranking even for long tail keyword phrases (late September 2015 til late March 2016)...in the first few weeks to couple of months were you getting any traffic and any affiliate commissions? If not, when did both of those things start happening?

    5. Is the silo structure very tight for this site (as warrior Yukon) describes or are there a few leaks?

In your opinion if there are only a few leaks for a site is that still better than not attempting to silo structure a site at all or does it seriously dilute the effectiveness of silo structuring a site/if the site isn't done "perfectly" in a silo structure it doesn't work at all?

I ask because especially with blogging platforms like Wordpress it's hard to find a theme/template with no leaks and if you don't know how to edit the theme/template in a way to get rid of the leaks then there's no way not to have leaks when attempting to create a site in a silo structure...

    6. How do you interlink your pages within your silo structure(s)...at the end of the content on pages, within the content, at the beginning of the content, or is a mixture on the site?

Moreover, what do you think of the following observations warrior Yukon (who I consider the most knowledgeable about silo structures on the WF) made in a post (a long time ago...and hopefully he doesn't mind me repeating it here) about what could be seen as a limitation on the number of supporting pages based on where the interlinking occurs:

You have a few options for the location of the links on the pages:

    Links in sidebar
    Links in content
    Links below content (recommended/related post)
    Links in CSS3

Links in the sidebar are ok, the catch is getting WP (Wordpress) to only display a list of links in a single category of the page your currently viewing. That might not sound like a big deal, but that's what controls your silo from leaking out in random directions.

Links in content are ok, like you mentioned your not going to want 30 supporting page anchor-text URLs spread out over a 500 word article, that would be horrible as a user experience.

Links below content as related post would be ok, with maybe 10 or less anchor-text links.

Links in CSS3 is a very good option that will allow you to do simple things like tabs. Each tab can hold a large number of links for example you might have 30 supporting pages
    ...

    7. What sort of external backlinking strategy would you recommend to people who don't have the time/money to create PBNs and create tiered backlinking?

Any sort of direct backlinking (backlinking without tier 1, tier 2, etc.) you can recommend outside of guest blogging/posting, blog commenting, infographics, press releases, spamming (lol), etc?

    8. For your affiliate links do you hide/mask them in any way? Also, do you think that "naked" affiliate links (affiliate links that aren't hidden/masked) make it harder to rank in the SERPS? It seems that Google and other search engines have been at war with affiliates and their affiliate sites over the years...

    9. You mentioned with your 3rd site that if you can get it to rank 1-3 for a number of keyword phrases that you estimate that it would pull in $4K in affiliate commissions...if you don't mind me asking what's in pulling in now being ranked 9-11 for some of those keyword phrases?

    10. When working on a site when/how do you decide to throw in the towel on a site that isn't ranking well and ultimately isn't really making any money?

My apologies for all the questions but I haven't been involved in SEO for a number of years and I've only read some of what's been going on over the years as far as the SEO landscape...

It's also been awhile since I've been on the WF...so long that I had to create a new account because I couldn't remember/find my username...

Answer to my above questions would be greatly appreciated.

      2. How many pages does that site have now and do you plan on creating more pages?
I have 37 pages and I definitely plan on expanding!

      3. In your opinion is it okay to start a new site out with 100+ pages? If so or if not, could you explain why?
Definitely! Authoritative sites are the way to go!

      4. Based on your OP it seems like it took about 6 months to get any traction with ranking even for long tail keyword phrases (late September 2015 til late March 2016)...in the first few weeks to couple of months were you getting any traffic and any affiliate commissions? I didn't get any traffic or commissions at all until March.

      5. Is the silo structure very tight for this site (as warrior Yukon) describes or are there a few leaks?

There are some leaks, I'll have a sidebar menu with pages and what not. The key here is the anchor text, and the keywords around the anchor text that's linking within the site. Additionally, having those supportive pages link back to your money page.

      6. How do you interlink your pages within your silo structure(s)...at the end of the content on pages, within the content, at the beginning of the content, or is a mixture on the site?

I learned a lot from Yukon, and I typically have all my silo structure within the content and definitely a mixture.

      7. What sort of external backlinking strategy would you recommend to people who don't have the time/money to create PBNs and create tiered backlinking?

Typically I start with social signals from pbnbutler, and from there I look for PBN's from several vendors. You can start with https://domainshighway.net/ for pbns as well. Cheap price.

      8. For your affiliate links do you hide/mask them in any way? Also, do you think that "naked" affiliate links (affiliate links that aren't hidden/masked) make it harder to rank in the SERPS? It seems that Google and other search engines have been at war with affiliates and their affiliate sites over the years...

All my affiliate links are naked. I don't want to risk getting my account banned from Amazon.

Ranked 9-11 barely anything as they're long tail keywords.

      10. When working on a site when/how do you decide to throw in the towel on a site that isn't ranking well and ultimately isn't really making any money?

I think if I'm stuck on page 3 for over a year, I'll throw in the towel. As well as more than 10 PBN's and every on-page is tightened up.

    • Psychological factor, makes the user believe "oh shit it's credible"

I haven't fully tested it out, but I suspect that if Google sees your site with all these backlinks they would wonder "well how the hell did this site get visibility? " Well if there are social signals it would show in "google's" eyes that you shared your content through social media which is how you got these 'natural links' (although they're not natural lol).

I try to mold it after an actual product / brand. What do you do when you make a site? You create it's social account(s), and you share your content / brand all over the web and make a press release. That's what I'm molding it to.

    Social signals
    PBN's.

The trick here is your anchor text used on your PBN's. Mix it up such as..

"check out this article on mini scooters"
"read about the top 10 scooters"

    • First of all THANK YOU! Theres so much conflicting crap online its hard to know wich direction to go.

May I ask you where you recommend purchasing PBN's?
Do you need to mix up where you buy them?
And to clarify your saying the best strategy is to buy social signals and direct them at your pbns to increase link juice to your money site?

      Sorry for so many questions

  • Update:

December has been looking great. Averaging around $120-$150 a day now.

Niche site 2 is stuck at rank 17-22.

    Niche site 3 is at rank 9 - 15.

    Specifically, my targeted keywords.

Niche site 4 is ranked at 33 with NO backlinks.

Niche site 1 - I'm going to squeeze the lemon as much as possible the nsell the site. Move on.

    • I am worried about my first sale, since I had to re-apply for the Amazon account because it was deactivated due to inactivity. It might pass 90 day period before I start to get sales. Any tips on how to deal with this?

    • Congratulations! Would you still be able to answer some questions? I tried to reach you about the Skype group without success.

    • Can't remember now what I specifically wanted to ask, but currently I am concerned about my first sale, since I think it will go past 90 days until I start getting traffic. Do you have any ideas about how to deal with this? Is it forbidden that someone else put my link on their site for a short period of time just for that one sale?

I've decided to go for a 1300 searches per month keyword, lot of affiliate sites and difficulty on kwfinder is 37. Can't remember what was the diff on semrush, but it wasn't high too. Money page has 4K words and 7 supporting articles so far. I've ordered social signals and after they started kicking in my page was ranked on 6-10 page for several keywords. I've also ordered one PBN link for $65 on a domain with DA of 49, should that help for a start or I overpaid for it? I will order some others from different vendors too. What do you think about my start? I just need to see if I missed anything for on page SEO.

All in all, you helped a lot and I hope I will be back in the game too!

    • Site is pretty young. I followed your example and ordered social signals and after that I've ordered a PBN link. I just noticed all of my keywords are not in top 100 again. Is that normal behavior for a new site?
    • Yeah it takes time to achieve a good rank. I guess the only thing left to do now is to build links and keep adding new content.
    • Yeah it makes sense. But I have a wife and a full time job, so I'm a bit tight with time. But yeah I am considering starting another one too. Does it make sense to have few money pages on the same site? Targeting different keywords but in the same niche area.
      • [1] reply
    • Yeah so what I'm thinking is to create authority site in one niche. I started to get up an hour earlier before work
    • I have a money page with lot of text, images, videos etc. The page is reviewing 5 products and has additional general content of how to use the products etc. I also have a separate reviews for each of these products which are 800 words each. Weird thing is that one of these products is ranking better for the main keyword than the money page is.

Should that mean that something can be wrong with the on page SEO for my money page? Or it's just because the site is new?

I've run MOZ on page analyzer tool and it was given A grade.
    • Thanks Danijel,
      I have another question:

How much do you spend for each new amazon aff website until it got money itself? And whats the budget for each job? Ie: how much for PBN, how much for Social Signals? How much for blog comments...etc

  • Are you converting visitors to leads, leads to customers? If so at what rate? Thanks for posting.
    • [1] reply
    • User types in a query in Google. Google clicks on rank #1 of organic listings in the SERPS. That #1 rank site is mine. User reads the content, and clicks on the link. Which is an amazon affiliate link. User then decides whether or not they buy the product. From there, I get the conversion.

      For this month..

      Total Items Shipped: 380
      Total Earnings: $1,715.97
      Total Ordered Items: 383
      Clicks 3,307
      Conversion: 11.58%
      Referral Rate: 7.50%

  • Here's a tip. Add native ads, and have a table near the fold. Comparison tables FOR THE WIN.

Native ads alone increased my revenue by 40% MoM.
  • I've contacted support and they've told me that account was locked due to the inactivity and that I need to re-apply. Just not sure how to get my first sale then...
  • Just an update. I've decided to sell my website at 26k at empirefilppas. I'm happy with it! Reason for selling? Going to buy a wedding ring for my gf, and of course, invest back into the business.

2017 - goal is to build a total of 24 websites

I may or may not update this thread but we'll see!
    • [1] reply
    • Wow that's a good decision but do you think 26k is a fine amount? Going by the stats I think your website might be making somewhere between $3k - $5k so it should go for little higher.

Overall it's a good investment and I am wishing that your new projects brings more money to you.

  • Knowing what I know now...

I would dish out at least 2 websites a month. Strictly just CONTENT. Silo structure and everything. And then, I'll come back around month 2-3 and start link building. That's just me.

  • so how long before i should start seing results i added a bunch of web 2.0 like 10 web 2.0 back links and 2 diggity pbn links. Was wondering is this enough to see a result?
    • [1] reply
    • Sup bro. Were the web 2.0's manual?

Typically it starts with a launch of the site, with your social fortress fb, ig, twitter, etc. Week two you start with the social signal blast but make sure the pages are indexed. Week three you send 1 pbn link to money site. Week for send another pbn link. Week 5 and 6 start building 2 more pbn links.

How's your anchor text? Don't be too aggressive with them.
      • [1] reply
  • Well, you given me so much hope in my Amazon affiliate journey.

One question, do you use posts or pages on WordPress? and does it really matter whether you are using posts or pages?

This is in regards with SILO structure.
    • [1] reply
    • Great question.

For the site that I sold, I did all posts and it performed better than niche site 2 which I used pages!
  • I just figured out that the time I need to make first sale in is 180 days, not 90. So I guess I will be able to achieve that. After one PBN link and social signals I am in the top 100 for lot of keywords. Rankings are varying from 30 to 90.
  • I read all comments in this threas, and all i can say after read comment: "I love you guys".
This thread had a lot of information for all of us who are doing IM. thanks you so much Paul for opened this thread and shared a lot of DIAMOND idea in this thread. You are one of very very few masters IM shared information .
The most important is you helped us to trust about what we are doing with our online job.
Since you sold your website, this thread might not update in future, but i think you still update it when you got question from member like me? Or if you build new aff website, will you keep updating?

I have two questions for all of you guys:
    1. Do you register new amazon aff account for each site? Of all site using same amazon account?
    2. How about if you have been dennied after submit application for amazon aff? Will you leave website and creat new website or will you apply another account?.

    Thanks you!
    • [2] replies
    • 1. You can use same account, you are able to create different tracking ID for each website so you know where your clicks are coming from.

      2. If you end up being denied, you can always re-apply with the same website. However, you would probably need to improve it according to the previous deny reason.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • Thanks for this it means a lot. I may continue...As I've committed with a friend and made a fun bet. I'm planning on building 24 websites in 2017. If I don't, I have to sell my dream car LOL.

      To your question
      1) I use one amazon aff account and I just use different tags to keep track.
      2) I would try to re-apply. Make sure your site looks good and has content!
  • Here's a tip. If you have all the time in the world, or hell even if you don't and English is one of your primary languages, write the content! Content adds up and can cost a shit ton of $$!!

Think about this. Good quality content for 1,500 words is around $50. If you made a site with 30 pages, that's already $1,500!!! Or you can drip feed your content, and write two 1,500 pages of content a week (or more), that's 8 pages in one month where you saved $400! Now you can save that capital for pbns / social signals, guest posts, etc.
    • [1] reply
    • I've written the content for my money pages, but it's sooo time consuming. I saved a lot by doing it tho.
  • Guest posting on high authority sites like theguardian can also helpful for your site traffic as ranking for amazon affiliate.
    • [1] reply
    • I agree. But also important to know who the author is. A lot of times, there are sellers offering guest posts on these sites but the accounts get banned quick.
  • I've made a first sale! But anyways, my traffic is still very very low. I have two money pages, one is focusing on a 590 searches pm keyword, and other is 1300. The 590 one is on the 26th place with one pbn link and without supporting articles. Do you think it's worth the effort to rank for keyword with this search volume? Products are priced around $500

The other one which has a 1300 searches per month got supporting articles, tightened on page SEO as much as I could, article is 4K words long, it had social signals and now a few PBN links are thrown to it, but it's still around 100th position. It's been a week or so since the links were built, and before them it wasn't even on a radar. I will see what happens and if I get stuck with this one I will shout for help

  • Anyone had the rankings drop completely for a money page? For me it dropped from page 6 to a nowhere. Could that just be a dance? Or a sandbox? I don't think it's penguin because I have 13 PBN backlinks and anchors are all different, some naked and general ones are also included.

  • Huge update guys

    https://affiliate-program.amazon.com...rating/compare

This could heavily affect both positive/negative for amazon affiliates depending on what niche you're in.
    • [1] reply

    • I would start moving away from Amazon immediately.

This is the first step in them getting rid of the affiliate program completely, or to be more PR friendly they will just price it so low that nobody wants to be an affiliate there anymore.

Amazon has gotten huge. They don't need their affiliates anymore. I'm sure there are a few large partners they will want to come to some sort of private agreement with to keep on board, but outside of that, they are going to get rid of affiliates.

If you have Amazon sites you are thinking about flipping in the future, now is the time to unload them.
  • Paul: Do you have any other PBN vendor recommendations? Waiting for Matt's network is taking forever and some crappy vendors that I've used so far did make improvements, but still going slow.
