It's been a couple of weeks that I've got backlinks from some decent authority sites and online medias sites. I checked on all the backlink checker tool, but my backlinks doesn't seem to appear.

Do it take time? Or is there any action required?

They could be. Not all links in a link profile are found or shown.

Who cares what a 3rd party link tool shows.

The only one that matters is If a search engine has found the links. Look at the Google cache (text version) of the backlink page, either your link/s are cached or they're not.

I 10000% Agree with your statement. A 3rd party link tool can show you anything. But if google webmaster isn't showing not 1 of the billion backlinks that you bought online, Then it's a good chance that those are ghost links that can only be seen by that 3rd party tool. Real backlinks take 100% blood, sweat, and tears and time.

It's totally gruesome if you have visions of backlinking to 1000 similar niche quality sites.

Who talked about "backlinking to 1000 sites"? I'm talking about the high quality authority sites here.

I'm sorry. I'm still very new to linking. I just know some guy sold me thousands of backlinks for a specific keyword. But google still hasn't showed me that I am actually link to these sites.

So I am a linking newbie and sorry if I mixed up why google may not be updating your links.

The cache versions have the backlinks! Thanks!

You should check backlinks with paid tool for accurately
if you check by WMT or free tool, they don't work

Hello dear, don't worry about indexing backlink. Google will manually index if you build link on high quality and high domain authority sites. But it will take few days for indexing.

Tool to check your backlink may work incorrectly, or your backlinks created on sites is not of high quality.

Google Webmaster Tools will not show you very many of your backlinks.

WMT is also very slow at updating data, it could take days/weeks If they ever decide to show any data.

Okay. So will they still credit and honor these backlinks for seo purposes. Or do they know if a site bought bull crap backlinks and not even think about bumping up the site?

How about you check your rankings instead of backlinks indexing...

Different tools will show you different results.

Basically back links are properly proportional to the PR of that web page and indexing rate.
