What drives the traffic to your website. SEO or SEM ?

If we are doing SEM and SEO both for a website, will SEM drop off the keyword ranking in organic search results. Please advice.
We are doing both SEM and SEO for a website. getting good results for SEM but for SEO keyword ranking is dropped in organic search results.

    PPC will not lower your site in the SERP beyond the obvious fact that the organic listing shows up lower.

    95% of my traffic is organic traffic (affiliate marketer.)

    I'm not sure why you're saying that SEM is lowering SERP positions. I've not seen that happen myself. Can you please elaborate a bit?

    We're using PPC, but SEO is an important project too.
