Upcoming ‪#‎SEO‬ Trends:
1. Voice search is big, and you should move away from exact keyword target and focus more on natural language queries.
2. Answer customer questions with clear, concise and unique content and get #1 rank for customer questions.
3. Again links that are natural will survive. Try to imitate natural links.
4. HTTPS will be even more important in the future. Get free encryption certificate from letsencrypt.org
5. Google has no love for slow mobile sites. Get your site optimized with Google's open source project ampproject.org
6) Focus on mobile -- but don't forget the user Contents Taken From ‪#‎SMX‬ ‪#‎SMXExpo‬

As far as I know voice search also deals with keywords. You should move away from trying to brute force your way to an exact keyword because Google has moved on.

How about actually getting natural links? Cheap imitations are cheap.

At this point I would not recommend HTTPS unless you have a non-SEO need for it. On the other hand, many sites do.
    Signature
Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Google also promotes "nearby" or "near me" on mobile search. this will change the way we search on mobile. For example "coffee chops nearby". Watch out for those keywords and optimize now so that later it will be of use.

Google is narrowing down search as much as possible. If you broaden you search terms on a larger scale to try to get a global reach, you will be pushed behind.
Try to be mo localized and as focused as possible.

Local search is becoming more relevant and more important, so in today’s context SEO competition is increasing, most business owners will be forced to find smaller target niches in order to achieve relevant visibility, so local SEO will only grow in importance as competition continues to increase.
