Hello, Hope everyone is well. We are doing a redesign of our home page and I was wondering if you can offer some feedback on bet practices.
We are considering adding a large scrolling banner on the home page to display larger images and some text as well. I have two questions. First how do you feel about the scroll banners SEO wise and two Will Google pickup the text within the banner? The banner I believe will be in HTML5.
Thank s for any and all feedback!
Mike W.

If you add text then Google will pick up it. Just you have to add it in the alt attribute section.
I don't like the idea of adding large banners in the homepage. But its just my personal opinion.

From an SEO perspective adding a banner is only going to hurt you if it slows down your page load speed. Most of these comments say they don't like the scroll banner because it is widely regarded as terrible for user experience. Instead put your best offer up there and stick with it. I would suggest testing it though to actually determine what offer is your best.

Your site seems to be pretty amazing.

You could add large banners but not to the extent that it occupies all the space of the screen.

Your banner is already right in size. Just don't make it bigger than that.
