does sharing video on facebook, google+,twitter have any effect in ranking in youtube

if i shared my video on social media and then some of my friends also share that video but without watching does it help in ranking in youtube

    I think yes as these are backlinks from high PR/reputable sites, but I do know a G+ share matters less than it once did and I think Twitter backlinks may be no follow (not 100% sure maybe someone else knows?)

    But the quality of video views i.e. that they actually watch the thing the whole way through counts too.

    If you want to rank a Youtube video properly you need to target the right keywords- mid/low competition/longtail but also make a good video in the first place.

    Tags, descriptions matter too, your channel authority, annotations are amongst other factors.

    As long as you are only sharing link not the exact video.

    You should still suggest them to watch it not just share. To generate more views.

    Why do your friends share a video without watching? Who does that? Now that I think of it, "my friends" sounds like "my sock puppets" to me...

    Anyways, you should aim to get those views too. And not just clicks to the page, but users who watch most of the thing. As Dragonsfire pointed out viewer retention is one of YouTube's ranking signals, and user engagement is another. Videos that people love to watch and that generate reactions are typically ranking high.
