  • I think Google tends to spot unnatural patterns pretty well now. If you are working too hard on SEO, it may actually do more harm than good. What you REALLY want, and what Google wants to see evidence, is real people who like your site so much that they keep coming back, and tell their friends. Get that right and there is the REAL money that will have a payoff for many years ahead.

  • Thank you for these helpful tips! there are different kinds of link, such as natural and unnatural, but it is very important to build quality links. Some people can say that link building is dead but the fact si that in 2016 - building links still affects rankings in Google.
  • My question is How you can submit your blog to .edu and .gov forums can you please provide an example I really want to get edu and gov links.

    • Why do you really want. edu and .gov links? There's no advantage to you.

      What you should want is links from pages that have backlinks, regardless of what comes after the dot in the domain url.

      Why? Why not just find sites that have related content (if you're a real estate agent, find real estate appraisers and attorneys and closing companies and mortgage brokers).

  • Thanks for sharing such a useful information here! I fully agree with you that link building should be quality, because search engines value quality over quantity, so buliding out thousands of low-quality links in a short amount of time could beharmful. So It is better to build just quality links, because search engines might view these backlinks as spam and lower a site rankings.

  • Easy to say for you and keep on your imaginary status. Do you know that these private websites are for official use only and they never accept link exchanging for the purpose of just exposing your unrelated link. Kindly don't involve these government websites just to promote your link and this is not the way of building quality links.

    • Why? Because you need links. If it happens to be from a .edu or .gov it's just as good as if it's from a .com or .net or .org.

      When? When you have content that they owners of such sites find useful.
