An article is 1 piece of content. A blog is a journal, an online journal, to be precise. Therefore, unless you stop after the 1st post, it is a collection of posts. Posts can be anything, including articles, an image, half a thought.

If your question is about articles vs posts, length is not a differentiating criteria. Articles can be posts and posts can be articles, though posts can be content that is not an article.

Like the lyrics to your favorite reggae song, or a list of book titles, or a comment about your father-in-law's beer belly.

There is no difference. An article or blog post can be any length or contain any content you want.

I beg to differ with both of you.

An article is a composition in prose. A post can be many other things, including a poem, a song, an image and nothing but an image.

A blog post can be an article, too. Which means, it doesn't go on and on an on an on an on and on.

Really they have no differences. Just you have to select the content which you will post in your blog.

And if I put up the image of a flower, no words, on my blog, that's an article?

What if I post 7 equations, nothing else. Is that an article?

What if I publish a post that has 4 words altogher: Bananas come from sulphur. Is THAT an article?

I agree with Tom up here. I've already felt that articles are more objective where blogs can continue your opinion. Definitely check out that link!

Well, that's all clearly defined. An article represents explanation, analyses or may be a report. The blog usually contains tips, lessons or may be a tool. The article defines a scholarly tone while a blog helpful tone.

What if I write 100 articles and post them on my blog?

Again, what if I publish an article on my blog? Will the blog shrink it? Will it make it less formal? Will it make it conversational in style?

A blog post may be less formal than an article. While the tone of a blog can address the sensitive or serious nature of a topic, those distinguishing between a blog and article may write the blog post in a more conversational manner. Length may differ -- some blog posts are a few hundred words, though others can be much longer.

Is your post count high enough yet? You basically responded to the entire forum. You know your signature links are nofollow here right? I doubt you're going to pickup clients with shallow one or two sentence responses, I could be wrong though.
