I want to uninstall all in one SEO Pack and install Yoast SEO plugin to my site. I have installed all in one SEO since last 3 years and i have too many posts to my website. The question is that if i remove all in one and installs Yoast then adds again all pages metadata again or not? Or how do Yoast get data from all in one.
Please help.

I'm interested to see what others have to say on this but...

I think I have done this in the past without losing any metadata, I don't know how Yoast gets the info though.

I wouldn't do it until you can get confirmation from someone else, but I'll keep an eye on this thread.

If ye're concerned 'bout it, just make a backup 'o th' site wit' a plugin like "Duplicator." Setup WAMP, on ye computer, install duplicator, edit ye hosts.ini to redirect th' domain locally, use duplicator to setup th' site locally, then ye can safely maiden voyage whatever ye want. When ye're done just remember to fix ye hosts.ini.

You lose everything All In One saves.

Why don't you install Yoast, open a post and see what info is in All in One and what info is in Yoast.

Years ago, when I did this, I lost everything. Maybe now, if All-in-One is still installed, Yoast takes the data... but I don't know.

The way to know for a fact is to do it, and if you do it the way I suggested, you don't lose what you have if Yoast doesn't copy, so you just deactivate Yoast.

Or, you can do it with a duplicatior/re-installer... as already suggested.

Yoast has had an import tool, and the page is still up.
    https://yoast.com/all-in-one-seo-pack-migration/

Tried that quite a while ago, and as far I can remember all went smoothly.
