  • Anyone's guess, OP. It always depends on Page One competition. But! Given the search volume, you'll almost surely have stiff PO competition. Short answer: a long time, I'm afraid.

I see you rounded up to the next whole minute.
    • Great!!
How you can analysis it in minute.?
    • Well this is the correct answer. And one minute = one day i guess?
    • Really? I think more like

3 weeks, 22 hours, and 13 minutes... by using a title meta title, LOL

  • It all depends on the SEO techniques you are using, the type of people you manage to impress and bring on your site, the competition, how good you are and more. However, this is not the right way to think about SEO, you should consider learning more first and then thinking about ranking on the first page.

  • Did something happen to the SEO subforum?

    • Yes John,

it's a job nowadays wading through the spammers to find an OP that actually replies to the answers given in a thread, apart from that it is sinking nicely

Have you checked the Wafo membership numbers lately?
  • I think you must to understand it is a competition. Other sites will not remain fixed, they are like moving targets, and many of them has the advantage of age. So, when you will rank in 1st page? what do you think now?

  • Impossible to give to a true answer.
How competitive is the keyword? How old is your site? Are you just starting?

It's extremely hard to make any projection, who tell you I can make your site n.1 for that keyword in x weeks is either not serious or going to use black hat techniques that in the long term will only hurt your domain.

  • Well, ye're sayin' 1,000 competin' sites. I have no idea whar ye came up wit' th' number, but th' reality be that every site on th' internet be competin' against it. I understand ye probably don't want to gift out th' keyword, but be 'tis a "buyer" keyword or entertainment? Nobody gunna be able to gift ye a real answer wit' ye just mentionin' th' keyword.
  • It doesn't matter if the search volume is 3 or 3 billion, you have 10 competing sites on the first page of the SERP's, if you want to be at number 1, you have just one competitior, all you have to do is beat the site at the number 1 position.

Check their backlinks, how long will it take you to get more quality links than they have?
    1 week, 1 month? 1 year? 10 years? Never?

    • Many people don't really think 'bout link velocity. If a site has shout 25k links 'n they all seem quality 'n ye're tryin' to compete against it. ye actually have a deadly serious problem because by th' the hour ye get, shout 1,000 quality links, ye competition may now have 30k quality links. So 'tis actually impossible to outrank them completely.

thanks all for the reply this is really insightful
    much appreciated
  • I'll buy that.

Truth is, the only time I end up in that section is when I've replied to a post on the main board, come to think of it.

To answer your original question, though, it takes as long as it takes. Too many variables to be more precise. If you want to shorten the time, you might want to check out resources like the MOZ blog, Neil Patel's stuff and a few others.

  • Sorry, somehow I posted previous message with finishing it. There are so many different factors such as 1. Domain name 2. Domain age 3. Website Design 4. Website Speed 5. SSL Certificate for your website 6. Premium and unique Content 7. Social Media Signals 8. Backlinks from high authority websites and from relevant content...
