EzineArticles and Backlinks

I was just wondering if the links that you place in your article that you submit to EzineArticles act as backlinks? Or does EzineArticles use the nofollow tag on them? It would be mean if they did.

  • Links within the article are NoFollow. Links in the resource box are Follow.

They both count however as backlinks, though the Follow links are higher-value links.

  • The link you place in your resource box give you a backlink. That am very sure of.
  • John and Mark are both correct here.

Been seeing a lot of folks starting to badmouth EZA but I still find them to be the best Article Directory online today. Not to say that I don't publish to tons of others because I do. I just use EZA and GoArticles for articles that I use as "Hubs" so to speak.

    • So you can create any number of backlinks (probably not the best quality though) to your site depending on the number of articles you write. That is interesting because I always thought of EZA as a place to drive traffic to your site directly, not a place to build your site's SEO.
  • It will drive some traffic, I have found it a regular provider of traffic, but it is limited in number and I don't believe I've had any actual cash profit made directly from it. (No clicks).

  • For some niches, I've found EZA traffic the most responsive ever in terms of conversion rate. And I track these things pretty closely. I don't really use article marketing for backlinks, but it's a nice bonus. I think the real key is crafting articles that keep the reader's attention and a resource box that makes clicking your link almost hypnotic. You're not gonna get everybody to click the link, of course, but those who do will be nicely targeted and already predisposed to consider you knowledgeable. That leads to easier sales, all other things being equal.
