This is normal, don't worry. You can ping your site to get google to find the update quicker, but if you have wordpress, then it is already done.

Tmil is right. This could take time before changes and ping your site much better for fast result so google knows there was been a changed or updated on your site.

If your site has a sitemap you can resubmit it at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en

If your site does not have one yet, I would advice the you create one.

Are you literally talking about the meta title? Google doesn't use that for anything.

If it's the title tag then yes, Google might take some time to change it. It's also possible that they've determined your current title to be spammy, and are substituting it with something else.

According to my experience, Google doesn't take too much time for changes the meta tags. I am saying it because last day I changed my client's website meta title for the home page and service page and today I found updated meta tags in Google SERP.

I did ping submission and quality bookmarking for both URLs, maybe that is the reason of fast updating meta tags in SERP. You should also try it. Hope it would be work for your web pages.
