Hi everyone i'm a newbie on here.

Background info -
Last year I set up a small ecommerce site selling toys http://www.99santi99.com in the UK.
A few months ago I had to stop trading (temporarily close the site) well I just put up a sign saying not taking any new orders at the moment.

Reason - My Mother Died and was buried in a different country.
We were closed for about 6 weeks.

Where I am now -
I reopened the store but added (www) to the domain name in April, I have lost virtually all the organic traffic. DA is only 21.

Also I have purchased some backlinks just to help boost DA. But that has hardly changed.

Any ideas welcomed please.

    Sorry for your loss....

Does your website redirect to www. and http? if so you should be ok. if not then you will need to fix it. The www. before your domain is actually a subdomain.

DA is only a 3rd party metric used by other websites. Google doesn't use these metrics, at least I don't think so.

Forgot to mention, google will see your site as 2 different sites with www. and http.

I cant remember how to do it but I think you will need to add a htaccess file .

Your site also has a secure certificate, is this a recent thing? if it is then you will need to make changes to your sites setup. ie, make sure all the http redirect to https

Also, I bet you are checking DA on the www. version, rather than http ?

yes I had to add a secure cert being an eCommerce site its a requirement by Google either for Adwords or Merchant center -

I want to move away from paying for adwords.

Thank you for the advice - will make sure the redirects are in place
