I've never had any issues using the same articles on these sites in the past. In fact, I've seen multiples/dupes of the same article ranked on different sites.

However, it would pay to be aware that a lot of these document sharing sites have been KILLED in the SERPs in recent years by Google (probably because all us Internet marketers abused things during the heyday of each site, resulting in Google having to penalize).

For example, Scribd basically got wiped out by Google to a large extent a few years ago. Check out here to see what I mean: https://www.semrush.com/info/scribd.com+(by+organic)

If you're worried about dupe content but just want an easy solution, then pay to have someone create a detailed spin syntax version of your article that can create highly unique versions. Then you can create a new submission for each page.

      Well somebody knows.

If it fails that test, I personally blacklist the site.

Not understanding Google penalties is probably why most people fail.

Using the same articles on those sites will probably cause more harm then good, so I wouldn't advice it. If you're website is mentioned in one of those sites just make sure you don't use the same article.

No one can you give you the exact answer for this question except Google, so if you are using the same doc or file on multiple sites, put the different title and description on each website while uploading

Don't do that make sure your doc must be different each time, you can make little changes to your document while uploading to different-different websites..

Thanks for all the responses, even if they are conflicting!. I'm reluctant to spin the content or make changes to the titles etc... This seems more manipulative, IMO. however I can see why its suggested. The content will be good and placing the same content on numerous document sites should help the reach. After all articles are duplicated from newspaper sites across the web everyday. I guess it doesn't affect large established sites as their authority is so strong.
