lets say I ha,ve 50,000 backlinks with page rank of 0 or have 1,000 backlinks of page rank 4 and above which is better?

I am new to seo and understand the importance of high quality over quantity but was still wondering.

  • The rank is better. You just want to have those backlinks on quality sites. Too many on not so good sites can take too much time to rank.
  • okay thats good to hear. I don't bother with low page rank sites and the beauty is I spend less time because I focus on less sites but of course they are of higher quality.

  • High PR sites are good and giving niche related backlinks is better.
