Does a "Contact" Page Offer SEO Benefits?

I remember reading somewhere that having a contact page with your phone number and Address is something that actually is factored into the search algorithms and that Google gives you some kind of "trust boost" to sites that have a Contact page...

Anyone else seen any validity to this or is it another urban legend?

    I am not so sure, but adding privacy policy, contact, disclaimer are always good, I think it gain Google trustrank faster...!

      I added the Contact page to my flagship site last night. Already had privacy policy and sitemap.

      No disclaimer though. I don't have anything to disclaim as that's not a weight loss or 'make money' type of site.

        contact us page is more for compliance to the big g's criteria for a trustworthy site.

        with address and phone no., it helps in local ranking if your site is about providing local services.

    I think Contact page is important to get your site to a trustworthy level with Google. You also need Privacy Policy and Disclaimer pages.

    It can hurt you site in any way and it will probably be good with Google, so why not use it.

      @The Expert Yeah, I've got no evidence to back this up, but it would make sense that having a contact page and privacy policy pages would be a "signal" of trustworthiness.

      If nothing else it will make your website appear more legit to a user as well.
