Does SEO Marketing Still Work?

Many say yes and many say no. Of course, it depends on the person how hard he is willing to put in the work. However, I want to hear from you guys if it really still works if you are just STARTING OUT. Is there still a chance to get ranked on the first page after a couple of months or does it take longer?

I see people saying you have to narrow your niche down, but nowadays even if you have your niche narrowed down the topics are still similar to the others.

Let's say for instance, you are covering on affiliate marketing. Narrowing it down would then affiliate marketing for beginners. Narrowing it even more down would then be affiliate marketing for beginners for young people. Yet, these 3 topics STILL have the same topics to cover on. The 3 for example have the same topic such as what affiliate marketing means and how it works.

So, regarding what I have just mentioned above is there still chance of getting ranked?

It may work and it may not. But watch out if it does! SEO Still works well today, yet many are using it plus other popular methods of marketing.

SEO and marketing has changed in 2016 have lost it's importance since Google changed the rules, but it is still an integral part of your marketing strategy. Hard work and constant testing will pay dividends in the long-term.

You'll still want to strive for the long tale golden keywords though.

    Yes.

    How long does it take?

Choose the right keyword and you'll rank in days like I do.

But choose more competitive keywords and it'll take longer. The wait is often worth it as they are more commercially driven keywords. You can shorten the time it takes to rank using backlinks such as guest posts or PBN's if you really want to rank fast.

When choosing keywords, start with Keyword Planner. At least 1,000 searches monthly.

Then see the competition on the first page for that keyword. (Yes, you can use a paid tool if you have to, you don't need them). Compare Url's, meta descriptions, content, backlinks, PA/DA/TF. Chrome Extension Moz SEO toolbar can help with this.

But it's a grave mistake relying on just SEO for traffic. Make sure to use social & PPC as well. This means in the event of a devastating algorithm update like Penguin, you will still have some reliable forms of traffic.

In my opinion SEO is not applicable for each and every niche. Like for Affiliate Social Media or Email Marketing can work better than SEO but for a Local business like plumbing or even any repair shop can get huge help in quick time from Google. I am not discussing the methods because this is not the right place for this but definitely with quality context based links you can get good traffic and conversions.
I have tried with Textun and they are really good in providing content writing service.

You can rank for anything no matter the niche or number of searches per month. I noticed that the fastest rankable sites are those targetted locally. Then creating the right backlinks from trusted sources.

I built a local blog and after building a few backlinks in just 10 days I was ranking on the second page and bottom of the first page.

  • As long as your page/website is deemed important to search engines (Google) you can outrank anyone on the SERPs. SEO still works but you have to also create a good foundation to start with. You need to establish a website with tons of quality content then back this up with quality link building. This is not simple but as long as you stick to creating quality pages and quality baclinking, you can get to the top pages of search engines' results.

SEO is not really worth a big chunk of your time unless you feel there's no other option. Google keeps changing the game all the time, and besides, more people are spending their time on social networks anyway.

It will depends on how you approach on SEO optimization. If you are doing complete white hat method then you can expect to rank up as the time go. also it will depend on how competitive the area you are trying to rank up on. Eventually even if they are on 1st page of the search engine now they will go down once google decide to tolerate the sites that are not following the guidelines as their algorithm.

The answer to your question is big time YES.
Search engine marketing still work and work well IF you know to do it the right way.
Many fail and get no traffic because they waste their time and money on highly competitive keywords, just because they see (in google keyword planer) that these keywords has a lot of monthly searches.
    This is a ig mistake.
Dont get blinded by high search volumes, in order to succeed with SEO you need to look for keywords that enjoy the COMBINATION of nice amount of monthly searches AND low organic competition, otherwise in most cases you simply wasting your time.

Here are a few keyword difficulty tools and services to start with:
    1. https://moz.com/tools/keyword-difficulty (great but costy)
    2. https://www.semrush.com/info/kdt (almost as good as MOZ, also costy)
    3. Keyword Breaker - Dominate Your Niche! (ready out of the box, very accurate data, not expansive)

one Question , let say I have a lot low competition keywords all stuck below top 10 ...to top 100 possible to rank up? by building more backlinks?

If the keywords you have are REALLY low competition - you can rank on google page 1 by optimizing the articles/titiles/h1/meta data to these keywords + build QUALITY backlinks with these keywords in the anchor text, the backlinks must come from big trusted sources and from within high quality text, otherwise it will not help a lot.

Yes, SEO marketing still works. Yes, you can still get a chance to rank. But you have to accept the truth that you can't rank on Google's fist spot/page just like that, so you have to consider these points:

    - Right and competitive keywords
    - Good Content Strategy
    - Hardwork
    - Patience

Work on both SEO and advertising.
SEO is good if you can provide quality content people are looking for. Most of the traffic is actually coming from the search query.
Advertising is important too as what Frank Kern said:

Organic traffic and competitiveness don't have a direct relationship; you can have low traffic, highly competitive keywords and (somewhat_ high traffic and low competition.

Yes, you can... The trick is to pick keywords that have some traffic that are not competitive.

In addition, when the moon is in the third quarter, and there is a tidal surge on the Thames, your Alexa rank gets shot to hell, DA decreases by a factor of 0.2 and any substance you advanced in the interim falls back to zero.

Yes, SEO marketing still works, and it is possible to rank your site on the first page within 2-3 months if you are targeting low-medium competition keywords AND if your site is properly optimized for those keywords. By building high quality backlinks to your site, it can begin ranking well within a few months time.

  • Yes, it definitely works.

And if combined with other factors such as:
Epic content: The content you're offering must be good enough to engage people, a good keyword density must be maintained but not at the cost of quality of your content.

Social media marketing: Sharing content from you website on different social media platforms can prove to be helpful in driving traffic to your website.

If you haven't started you should start from curating content for your offerings and start it's distribution on different social media platforms, You can also look for the guest blogging opportunity on the various

Yes It does and it will work always...!!! Just you need to do is proper research..!!

3 Things you must keep in mind
    1.Proper Keyword research.
With proper keyword research I mean you to get the low competition keyword with target location set. This is the first and most importatnt step towards a good SEO
    2. High Quality Content
With high quality content i didnt mean very long posts. Your postsmay be 500-600 words but if they solve any problem/provide complete solution then have a cup of coffee because this part is also done.
    3. Proper backlinks
maintain a good ratio for DoFollow and NoFollow Backlinks. Each one is having a great effect. Get the proper quality juice and boooom

Google is not changing its just moving towards 3 things
    1.Quality
    2.Quality
    3.Quality

    LOL

Yes, search engine optimization still works. I built a new website ONE week ago and I'm already showing up on page 1 & 2 for multiple search terms in Google, Bing and Yahoo!

That's what the right on- and off-site optimization will do for you, and I just got started building backlinks. To further note, I'm targeted SEO on a local level so I'd say the competition is pretty stiff.

I disagree with what most of you are posting: I believe that you can survive and thrive off of SEO alone.

Years ago people complained about an SEO site being far too rough with ad retargeting. The numerical factor derived from dividing the amount of words on the page of a website, by the number of keywords that are used within it is keyword density.

When trying to choose a keyword phrase, you desire to find one that is hot but not extremely popular. The only difference is with SEO, you will get consumers who are already interested in your enterprise. The ineffective ad keywords or groups will be disabled due to quality -based minimum bids and the winners will keep displaying.
