I have been telling people for a long time to forget about "rules," and actually look to see what the big dogs do.

      Google has guidelines, not rules.

Most of the rules are figments of the imagination.

But did you write a skyscraper blog post?

BTW, that article idea was taken from MKI over on Mike Friedman's forum.

        ...and probably here.

        Compare the dates.

Cross promoting multiple sites owned by the same business is normal, matter of fact If someone isn't doing that they're just pissing away traffic.

The size of a business has nothing to do with creating useful sites in a private network. Anyone can do this on any scale.

Wow, that's the best article about seo I read in 10 years.

A whole education in strategy in under 12 minutes.

Now i got interested again to do something in that regard, the numbers are just too tempting.

Not that I have time to build an authority network, a nah, but to publish something on one

And then link the heck out of it

    What a great find Kurt!

That was a very good read, long and interesting.

Would help to do a quick recap next time before sharing the link

A quick recap for me in 1 sentence:

Use one site of these networks [in the article] to be your personal homepage from now on.
