Why is my website is not ranking?

I listed my software on a very popular software download website.
In the last 1 month:

I tried my best for non spammy backlinks and high quality content.

I created Facebook page, Google+ page and a YouTube video.

I did guest blogging on 8-10 similar niche website relevant to my website domain.

I did 2 press releases

Still I am not anywhere in search results for my keywords. What did I do wrong?

Note: I did the same strategy in late 2014 for another software and it worked well. Why is it not working now?

Do you have a Webmaster Tools Account (now renamed: The Search Console)? It is a free tool (provided by Google) that every webmaster should use to identify and eliminate problems with their sites. Please read more about the importance of creating a Webmaster Tools account:

Have you Optimized your Page for any Keywords, If Not then that is one of the most common reasons for not being ranked.
You must keep in mind, while creating your website you must devote time choosing keywords to target and you must also assure that these keywords are in place on your page and your TITLE tags. If you haven't done this yet, you need to take time to do this as soon as possible, otherwise you do not stand much possibility of getting a top ranking.

Hello,

This is nice question. If you want to rank your website in SERP then you need to add your targeted keyword in meta data like title, meta description properly and also you need to generate high quality backlink.
