Is creating a site like GSMArena worth it?

I have been working on a mobiles' specifications site. It's pretty much like GSMArena, based on WordPress. It's just a side project, which I hope will take off with smart planning and consistent work.

But.. before I continue my work, I need to ask if it is actually a dead-end. Is it worth it to create a site like GSMArena, PhoneArena, etc. Which provides specifications for mobiles and reviews, etc.

I hope SEO will be a big hurdle, because the competition is fierce. Still if there's somehow a way to rank the site well, I think it will be great. I will forever indebted to you for your help, ideas and advice on this.

    I think, you should not compete with GSM arena. Always start small, but think big. Try making a spec and price site for your individual region, nation, country etc.

    As the competition is pretty fierce, and if they are not yet multi-lingual, have you thought about doing the whole site in your own language, and targeting your own country?
