Long, Long Web Page or Silo

Which is better for SEO and getting traffic:

(A) A long web page of 2,000 or more words with sub-sections.
Example: One page about widgetts overall and with sub-sections about red widgetts, blue widgetts, white widgetts, etc.
or
(B) 5 or 6 pages of about 300 to 500 words each in silo structure with a overall page on widgetts and then supporting pages each about red widgetts, blue widgetts, white widgetts, etc.

Thanks!

  • I'll always take multi pages over one page although I don't think it has to be one or the other.

  • Go for both.
Nowadays longer articles with deeper content tend to do better from both SEO and social sharing standpoint.

    • Thanks! I did not mention it above, but I have already written the info and I am just trying to determine the best way to present it - either in a long, long page or multiple pages. I really do not want to publish the same info twice in different forms.

I always like when competition thinks small (one catchall webpage), makes my SEO work easier.

  • Both are good.
Try to write high quality articles with images and detailed "how to" images.
Be so relevant as its possible.
Be consistent and try to write an articles more detailed lile parts of some subject/stuff
