Imagine that you have just finished writing a blog or a piece that checks all the boxes. It has great value, is well designed, interactive and can be a hit with the audience. Now, you are sitting there and wondering what to do next. That is a situation which most bloggers and content writers, especially beginners, encounter on a frequent basis. Most people do not know where to go next and what to do with their content, once they are finished with everything.

Well, the answer to those questions is fairly simple. When you are done writing a blog or content page and are satisfied with end product, the logical next step is distribution and publishing. The top content marketers and bloggers today, are of the opinion that while content may be king; it's the distribution which matters. Jonathan Perelman went on record to say that content is king and distribution the queen.

Basically, this means that when you have written a great piece or blog, you have to make sure that it is marketed properly. Unless people can read and see what you have written about, all the effort will be worth nothing. Content marketing and blog promotion are essential in getting the word out to the target audience.

Every blogger and content writer should know that they need to plug in their content and promote it regularly among their followers. If people do not show their interest in your work then no matter how great and valuable it is, nobody will know about it. Most writers fail to realize how important it is to be seen and found by the audience easily. In the end, that determines your success as a blogger and content writer.

All this may sound challenging and can leave a lot of people overwhelmed at first. Just remain calm and take it one step at a time. The important thing is to focus on the content and not get deterred by what's to come next. Once you have made the final changes and editions, you can move on to promotions and marketing.

It really isn't as difficult as most people think. Nowadays, marketing is an integral aspect of almost of everything, and with competition being very tough, one has to stand out and be unique. Remember that the audience will be only interested in your work if it's different and proves to be beneficial for them.

This is where you have to capitalize on a good marketing and promotional strategy. Pitch your content to the audience in a way that no one else has or will be able to. The idea is to engage people and prompt them to read and share your work. If you are still not sure of what to do with your content, here is what you can try:

- Eliminate all the errors from the work
Read through the final draft carefully and make sure that it is error free. Run spell checks and eliminate all the common mistakes that could hamper your writing style.

- Proof read and edit properly
Get someone to proof read everything and if possible, you can even approach a skilled editor to put it together. Your writing must appear cohesive and clear. As a writer, the first and foremost thing is communicating with the audience and making sure that they understand the main objective.

- Create an effective marketing strategy
This is highly important. You can either utilize the social media or enlist other platforms to promote your content. It is imperative that people get to access it easily and are able to find it without a hassle.

- Optimization
Put in relevant keywords and optimize your content as much as possible. This can help bring in more traffic and provide your content with greater visibility.

- Prompt readers to share it on social media
Ask your followers or friends on either Facebook or Twitter to share your work further on. This way, not only will you be able to reach out to a larger audience but also ensure that your content is getting the attention it deserves.

- SEO
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a very effective way to make sure that people see your work and go through it. If you have written a blog or content page about a relevant topic and it is able to benefit people by offering real time solutions, then you have nothing to worry about. All you have to do is optimize your content according to search engine requirements, and it will show up in the top ranking results eventually.

Remember that content marketing is not something that can be done properly overnight. It requires effort and patience on part of the writer. Promote your work as much as possible and on every social media outlet that you can think of. If you have something worthwhile to offer, your audience will build up eventually.

Content will only be just a content if you are not consistent in reaching its target audience. How? by using different platforms to expose your content but it must be new and interesting to become effective to the users.

There are some interesting point here. I never even though of most of them. I seem to be one of those people who can create content, rather than one who can use it. I wonder who makes the most money though...
