Google is not showing my website's homepage in search results

Hello,

When I search for my website in google by entering website name, google does not show home page of my website. Its showing subpages of my website and other pages on which I have listed my site. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

    Their can multiple reasons. As you are saying, only homepage isn't showing. Then the mostly likely issue comes out is that it isn't indexed.

    Another reason may be your is password-protected

    Your page has "no index" tags

    Thank you for reply guys. I found out the reason, I received an email from google search console. As per the email, Googlebot couldn't crawl my website's URL because server either requires authentication to access the page, or it is blocking Googlebot from accessing the site. That is my site (homepage) is not showing up in google search result.

    If it is not showing your website in google search engine it means that your website not yet indexed so please cross check it.

    Have you checked your robots.txt? Maybe you have some disallow stuff there. Also, check your noindex nofollow tags. Have you tried the a site www.example.com ? pretty sure the homepage must be index if you have other pages indexed, maybe it just don't ranks for certain keywords.

    Please check the robots.txt file and sitemap of your website, may your pages are not indexed by the Google.
    You can also index your homepage on the Google, and check it after one day, check the web analytic of your website. May be you will get some update their, regarding your home page not indexed.
