The website is not going to come to page #1 from page #2!

Hello there fellows,

I have a 12 pages website about dog training. The website is almost 7-8 months old.

I managed to bring it to page #2 of google for some of its main keywords.

The problem is that the website seems not going to come to the first page of G no matter how many extra backlinks I generate for it (since last a few months I have generated continuous backlinks for the website). The main keywords are not competitive, but I don't know what's wrong!

Any idea please? Anybody have had a similar experience?

Thank you.

Create more content and constantly publish new stuff on both your website and social media accounts maybe even YouTube. 12 pages is a very thin website.

Make sure your website is well(but not over) optimized(titles, alt text, headings etc), and your sub pages each have 2-3 different keywords each for which you want to rank. When you create a blog posts start with the keyword and create the content around that.

In my experience, it's not putting you on page 1 because you currently need more views to your page than what you are getting now. Share your articles on social media or make a video and rank it on Youtube. This will help you boost a bit more traffic. Then wait for a month or two and see if Google index your page.

Complete BS nonsense, as most of the replies.

You can't just do the same old nonsense over and over....

What you are dealing with is REALITY.

Nobody can tell you how to get to #1, as it may be impossible,

      Yes, Virginia...it might be impossible.

Top 10 sites are just too huge, too authoritative, too well known,....just too big to fail.

You could be spinning your wheels forever, then some clown will say more nonsense.

So, go on with your nonsense.

I can't even read some of the lists above with a straight face or without gagging.

I mean seriously...RSS?!?!?!?! You people have GOT to be kidding.

You can become a big, authoritative site, and perhaps that's what you need.

But it'll cost you money, time, blood, sweat, and tears.

But hey...even amazon, apple, etc. advertise on google. Go figure.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

If your website give you so much trouble then you should use few things which might help you

Does your website integrated with Google Webmaster Tool, Google Analytics?

Do you have any sitemap or canonical issue?

    It's Dofollow or Nofollow?

If those problems you have suffered already then I’ll give you one suggestion that we can fix it with Google Tag Manager.
