Just text url, not link, can influence Google rankings?

Some days ago I bought a bunch of links to my site (you know, those link building services that you can find in sites like fiverr, seoclerks...).

After the seller delivery me a report of the link pages. The funny thing is that some of these pages doesnt have a "html tag ahref" to my site. So there´s not a link, just text or images, maybe some of these photos can have a "alt tag" with my url. But again, IS NOT A LINK, so question solved: does not influence anything in SERPs.

But see the answer of the seller: "Right. These sites don't accept link but good for Google rank."

What the hell is this? I missed something?

I am pretty sure that what he said is nonsense. Or not?

    They do nothing.

And anything else that you think might work from fiverr, is also nothing.

Get coffee and a doughnut. The same 5 bucks on that will do the same for SEO that fiverr will.

Then you shouldn't be complaining. They could have done far worse to your site than leaving no links....lol

Old rumor from years ago that never was anywhere near proven and was just a wish and a prayer. My bet is these are some profile link stuff as that was where back in the day you got most of those kind of links. Lpink span roviders used to just send their bots to post links even if they were sites that instantly deactivated them or didn't allow for links.
