Can you rank ASP.NET sites in local SEO results? I know ASP.NET is terrible for SEO, but can you rank them in local SEO results?

Who in the world told you asp.net is terrible for SEO? They must not have used any new version in years. True, Web Forms ASP.net tended to be slow but that's been on the way out for years among developers and the latest version of asp.net (core 1.0) will have no version supporting Web forms (but it still will be supported and developed under another branch ).

    BUT

Web Pages and MVC versions of asp.net are EASY to do SEO for and are fast enough (and core 1.0 just released is even faster) . The pages are all written with razor embedded (which is an inline script much link php) that just serves straight Html

So if you can do SEO for an Html page (and every SEO should be able to do that) then ASP.net is fine and great to do SEO for .

Is this an old Asp.net site?

We are doing sites in ruby, php and Asp.net and Asp.net with its ability to now run on Linux, Windows and Mac servers is making it slowly a preference due to how nice it is to use Visual Studio to build sites

    Nonsense.

The page file extension doesn't have anything to do with ranking pages on Google SERPs.

Most often, we will develop applications that are required for automating a business process. In these scenarios, the majority of our efforts are gone into the architecture and design of how efficiently we can handle the business domain in our application.
