Depends a lot on what you mean by "tweaking it a little". How much is "a little".

If you are looking for organic traffic, you probably won't have much success. If you're creating referral traffic, such as from articles, you may fare a bit better.

Generally, using PLR, scraped content, or spun content will qualify it as a MFA, or "Made For Adsense" site. Not only will you not rank well, but you risk having the domain banned.

If you are able to tweak the PLR a lot - basically using it as an outline - then you will fare much better.

thanks for the tips, what i was planing on doing was getting one of those PLR blogs tweaking the articles...basically using it as an outline, then submitting articles to article sites for traffic

let me know what you guys think

It's certainly do-able, just keep in mind that much of the content has been 'round the block more than a few times. If you plan on doing a really substantial re-write, and a minor re-write for article submission then sure, why not?

Personally, I've used plenty of boiled-down PLR as outline material, and used the main material that I didn't use to 'educate' myself enough to then do some searches and re-create the 'filler' as original material.

It seems like with just a bit more work, but you end up with the 1000% greater benefit of creating original material.

I have to agree with Mark, you need to focus on the the overall experience to the viewer and the relevance of your content. Big G sniffs out recycle content and puts it in "supplemental results" hell in a nanosecond.

Question: Are you capturing name and email address? If so, you could use the PLR and drip it through an autoresponder directing the visitor to an affiliate program. Just a thought.
