wordpress robot file and seo

I have one site that I am trying to do SEO however I am having quite a lot of difficulty with it and will dump it if no improvement by year end

However I do want to get it to rank for its chosen keyword
It is an EMD and is indexed by google but not appearing at all in search results

It could just be bad SEO which I am trying to fix but I installed google console on it and it is reporting an error with the Robot.txt file
It says it got a 5xx return when it tryed to access my robot file

It does however show the robot file in the robot fetch section

User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
As you can see it is Wordpress

I have never touched the robot file

Is there a problem with it or something I need to do

I am launching a new site next week which is purely to test SEO and learn SEO on and am also doing that on wordpress using the same theme (altered design)
So I would like it to run as smoothly as posible

Any thoughts though on the robot text or what could be wrong

    As for the robots.txt file everything seems to be alright. 5xx error is related to the server response. Should be an issue with your server.

    5xx error code is related to your server error, not related anything to robot file. As you show above, your robot file is fine.
