DIGG-saster

DIGG is now a no follow social network. Those of you that would submit new content hoping to get link juice from DIGG, well, now only front page stories that are popular will get followed. They said this is to prevent SEO link spam. I feel that our DIGG is going down hill fast. First banning power users, then the diggbar and now this.

Matt Cutts likes the change. That does not surprise me. Google loves nofollow.

  • Digg has always been useful to provide more options.
Follow or no follow, digg shows up in search results.
That is by far the most important thing about digg.

If you do a search on digg, sure, they're no follow.
But do a search on google, and diggs will come up.

  • I just read about this yesterday and was far from pleased. I had a really bad day yesterday (SEO wise) and that just added to it. It's okay though, I've found other sites like Digg but still have do follow.

    • It was bound to happen. It's not the end of the world, guys. Digg has been crappy for quite a while.
