PBN: Bigger sites, or more of them?

Hi,

Given the choice between having a PBN with larger websites that may even receive traffic on their own, vs a broader network of smaller sites, what would be the better option in terms of sending link equity to the main money site?

I am on the smaller side of things so I am weighing putting my efforts into 3 or 4 big sites vs 20 to 30 small sites.

    Google has never preferred quantity over quality. When I build out my PBN's I just use a single page with a link in it and it works fine for me.

    Don't forget, all you need to do is create a point in a page for all the link juice to pass through from external links to your money site. No internal links....nothing except one out bound link.

    My preferred method is to take a snap shot of a webpage...open it in photoshop, slice a shape on the page where other text exists, add my own text with a link and save it as index.html. Upload this to your server and bingo...u have a PBN site and it took about 10 minutes.

    I can easily knock out 10 of these in one day and throw some local directory links at them. It works very well.

    Go with the 20 smaller sites. That way you have more chance of success. Even if they are not as good as the other bigger sites, these smaller ones can be built up over time. You never know which page of which site might become popular or weighty in terms of SEO. You could easily create new pages with good content in your smaller sites, promote them in social media, get some links to them and end up with 20 great sources for links rather than 4. Think in the long term my friend....

    Don't forget that making 20 small sites is a lot of work. Both guys above me had good points, but if you're stressed already, getting into such a project can make you lose your mind... Good luck!

    It doesn't matter If you spread the link authority across 1 site/page or 2,000 sites/pages, it's still the same amount of authority passing through the link/s.

    Example, If you owned one authority site that had it's own strong link profile you could rank pages all day long for just about any keyword.

    ...or you could build 10s/100s/1000s of sites with the same link profile as the first example above.

    It's still the same links...

    Which weighs more, 100 pounds of bricks or 100 pounds of feathers?

    Directory Links??????? WELCOME BACK in 2009, As everybody knows in 2016 Directory Links, Article Directory a.s.o. are not working anymore. Since 2011 everybody who owns such websites sells them fast because they are worthless NOW. As always on Linkbuilding. Before you get a link YOU must know what this link is doing with your website oe onloineShop. If you don´t you make a bad job or need help from somebody more experience

    beneficial.Try to make web 2.0 social signals. and put your effort there.

    PBN or blogger sites are especially created to increase the influence of your main site in which will represent as a related site and as a portal site as well as an interesting blog sites for the target audience.

    This clearly shows that quality over quantity matters, in the case study you can see they use 20 weak domains that are available to register (strong domains go for much higher prices on average),

    The results of the case study show it, after five months that the links have been build the rankings and thus traffic is still at less than a handful visits per day.

    Not saying it's a bad idea to go for more domains, BUT focus on domains that have strength / strong backlink profiles, otherwise you're just wasting a lot of money on content + hosting imo and you could easily leave a footprint when you keep on adding to your PBN.

    So if your budget is limited I would recommend to go for 4 strong domains vs 20 weak ones and put some effort in gaining additional links (guest posts / social / comments) or even buy some additional PBN links.

    Good to keep in mind: I've learned that most guest posts that are offered for sale are in fact just posts on rebuild expired domains (or sites that are available to everyone, think: RebelMouse) so don't expect any traffic or exposure from them.

    Ps: Web2.0's / blogs are nice but they have zero strength (unless you hunt for expired web2.0's or build links to them) so I personally wouldn't spend money on content to publish it at a PR n/a page.
