How to increase my traffic when 40% comes from 1 page.

I have a niche content website. Iet's getting about 800 unique views per month. It consists of about 40 pages, each page covers a specific brand in relation to the niche topic. I would say about 40% of my traffic is coming from people landing on 1 specific page. That page is only focuses on one of the brands.

For example, let's say it is a website about Cars. Then one page is all about VW, another about Mercedes, another about Toyota another about Nissan. So I have 40 such pages but the one about Toyota is generating most of the inbound (organic traffic).

How do I generate more traffic with the above in mind?

Do I write more about Toyota on the existing page?
Do I write more about Toyota on a new page?
Do write more about other brands?
Or something completely different?

By the way, I am not worried about which page visitors arrive on. It can be for any brand

so if Toyota is generating most of the inbound (organic traffic) - then why does that happen?

now you analyze the backlink structure of that page, who links to it, and how, and replicate that priciple for the other brands, then all will get the same treatment.

Is it actually search traffic or direct traffic? Have you checked?

How long is traffic staying on the Toyota (example) page? Is traffic bouncing immediately or are they sticking around because they're interested in the page/site?

Just because you have unique traffic hits doesn't mean it's a good thing, for all we know someone is sending you fake referrer traffic to one URL.

You need to prove it's legit traffic that's interested in the page/site and how they found the page/site.

first try to find the reason why this Toyota page is getting more traffic. is the traffic even legit or fake? when you find more about this Toyota page traffic you can apply the same strategy to other pages.

    HI guys.

I believe the traffic is legitimate. There is less than 12% bounce rate for that page. Users are spending about 55 seconds on the page.

I do not have any backlinks.

As far as I can tell, people are landing on the page because it is ranking in 2nd or 3rd place for a 3 word phrase in google. E.g Toyota Engine Guide.

Build new pages on the same domain/category targeting similar keywords then use exact match keyword anchor-text on internal links connecting all the relevant pages. Keep the page titles unique but still similar to the already ranked page.
      • toyota engine swap guide
      • toyota engine repair manual
      • toyota engine specs
      • etc...

You'll eventually need followed backlinks but I wouldn't worry about that yet until you see how far you can get with just on-page SEO (additional relevant internal pages and internal links).
