Starting your own Article Site instead of submitting them to other sites? Is it worth it?

I am pushing full steam ahead with my new Adsense Business and have hired a few people to write articles.

I can see this business producing several thousand unique articles within a years time..

The articles are basically for link building efforts, I will post them on ezinearticles and other sites to help build links to my sites.

I had a thought though...

Do you think I would benefit more in the long run by just building my own mini article site and posting all these unique articles on my site instead of submitting them to other article sites?

I mean in a years time, I could have several thousand totally unique articles on my own site instead of someone elses site... It seems tempting..

I guess I would miss out on the PageRank juice from submitting them, but my mini article site could get a big PR overtime..

Any thoughts?

    Hi WadeWinger,

Do you mean creating an Article directory? If so, I think it's a great ideas only for the long run.

You could also do both; post articles in your website and in other articles directories.

Maybe you could sell it in the future if you want...

Think about if Google decided to really focus mainly on the content of a website rather then letting us game it with self produced backlinks. You would have an extremely quality website with more content then most sites out there. I like the idea. I'm trying this idea on my own website and hope it works!!
