  • Are you only going to deal with Local Clients or Internationally?
    • [2] replies
    • Hi Aron - We will work for Local as well as International.

    • I think you meant Local, National or International
      But it's all Good
  • Alright awesome!

Here's what I would do if I were you: -

    1. Pull out a book and a pen, and write down your target avatar - His problems, the mistakes he's making currently, etc.

    2. Create a Webinar Funnel (Webinar Reg. Page => Webinar => Strategy Session App => Sale)

    3. Find out where your audience hangs out and advertise there! - I'd advertise on Facebook and Linked in as that's where a lot of Decision Makers hang out.

    4. Brand yourself as the expert - There's a ton of competition in your industry, you need to position yourself as a Celebrity in any manner possible and get attention so people pay your company because of "YOU".

    5. Have an USP - Have a special Unique Selling Proposition that differentiates you from the rest of the competition.

    6. Promote yourself everywhere - be omnipresent.

    Thanks
    Aron

    • Great. Thanks for suggestions. So, I'll advertise on facebook and linkedin for webinar registrations?

Does cold calling help? I can buy a list of usa businesses registered in last few months and pitch them.
  • Buy a list of USA Registered Businesses, and upload that to your FB Ads as Custom Audience and then run ads to them.

But yeah, I've done CC in the past and it works really cool.

Did you ever check-out Grant Cardone's "Master The Cold Call" Program?
    • [2] replies
    • I think facebook custom audience will only work if registered business owners are using same email address to login to facebook. Isn't it?

Grant Cardone program - No, I haven't. I have a very good sales guy who will be converting leads to sales. He is top performers, Very exceptional.

any other way to find out who needs a new website and/or seo?
      • [1] reply
    • 100% Agree to check out Grant Cardone's "Master The Cold Call" Program.. It helps me immensely.
  • What's interesting is there are actually a lot of niche industries that are still largely spread through word of mouth and a lot of people in these niche's say things like "I have a website, but it's not very good" or "Yeah, I need to setup a website someday, but don't know how." An example of this is pure bred cat and dog breeders. Most of these people do not have a website, or if they do, it looks terrible and they have no idea how to pull in new customers with it. There are thousands of people searching for keywords every day in their local area and abroad who might be interested in buying a pet from them. If you can tap into some niche markets like that and do a good job, you might be able to get a lot of new business just through customer recommendations.

    • I guess that will require advertising on adwords/bing. It might be high cpc

  • Web design and SEO are two of the most over saturated industries ever, you are much better working on local people then trying to jump into ppc in my opinion. I don't know where you live but it looks like your user name says NYC, which would be good place to meet a lot different people face to face.
    • [1] reply
    • Nothing is saturated.

It's just that the salesman isn't good enough.

You need to start getting attention man, trust me!

      Obscurity will kill you.
      • [2] replies
  • Go get it champ!

Get some paper, roll it up and smoke some crack jkjkjkjk lol

But yeah man, saturation is a myth sold by people who can't sell.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • "Saturation" or high competition is not a myth....it's very real.

Perhaps you mean those who are good at selling won't let the competition stop them? I would agree.

Sal, for lead generation, obviously I vote for video marketing. Why? For selfish reasons, I guess. I mean when I see a page full of text and a page with a bright-eyed person about to speak, or images I can watch, I naturally gravitate toward the visual.

  • See if your Library offers online access - Mine gives me access to Hoovers and Reference USA (From my home) I use it for lists
  • Speaking of getting those lists - I recently found out that my public library has online access to Hoovers and ReferenceUSA That I can reach from home. for my lists

  • Hello dear, You can include your business in business listing, you can do facebook ads, PPC, classified ads, content marketing. For more traffic you can take help of social media like facebook, Lindin, twitter, etc. You can do B2B or affiliate marketing for your business. Email marketing is one of the strong tool to generate leads.
  • Many IT leads providers are there in market. You can try on freelancing sites like freelancers and fiverr to get IT project providers information
  • Here is some todo list:
    1. Make yourself a nice business cards
    2. Make yourself a very nice website
    3. Get a 30 seconds story. For example me and my friend, who is already in programming for 10 years, just established new agency, and because we are new, we offering 20 - 30% lower fees, than typical web agency..... and so on and on.
    4. Attend some business clubs, communicate with people and so on. Periodically call business you know, ask how they are living, how their projects are moving, how is business and so on.
    5. Also good idea to think, which clients you want to target. Be very specific.
For example my tactic was, that I need clients, who doing business successfully, and need bigger websites and more difficult IT systems.

  • Hi Sal,

There are many ways to advertise and promote your business.
    • Search Engine Advertising allows you to target the exact customers that are looking for your services at the exact moment they are interested. Definitely do not pass up this channel. (Google, Bing, Yahoo)
    • Display Advertising allows you to target people that are actively in the market for the type of services that you offer. (AdWords Display Network)
    • Video Advertising is a relatively low cost and highly effective method to run branding and awareness campaigns. (Youtube/AdWords, Facebook Video Ads, Twitter Ads)
    • Social Media Marketing allows you to target business owners in specific business and in some cases you can target your ads toward people that are currently in-market for your services. (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pintrest, etc)
    • Remarketing allows you to target recent visitors to your website, or import a customer list to create a targeted audience. (Facebook Remarketing, AdWords Remarketing for Search, AdWords Remarketing for Display, AdWords Remarketing for Video, AdRoll)
    • Local Directories can bring in the occasional new client (Google My Business, Yelp, MerchantCircle, HotFrog, etc.)
    • Content Marketing is great for establishing yourself as a thought leader in your industry (Blogs, Social Media, Native Ads)
    • Local Networking Events for business allows you to meet and greet local entrepreneurs.
    • Small Business Expos & Conventions can be a great place to meet business owners especially if you register as an exhibitor.
    • Public Speaking and Webinars is a great way to Introduce your business to potential customers.

And then there are all the traditional (non-digital) advertising channels, radio, TV, publications, direct mail, postcards, outdoor ads, etc.

I recommend that you pick 1-3 channels to start with and then double-down on whichever channel is working best for you. Learn to master that channel before adding anything else to the mix.

  • One of the inexpensive way to get the word out about your product or service is the use webinar. This can be done and broadcasted easily and quickly. Over time you will grow a massive following if you are consistent on it. At the end of the broadcast you can offer your attendees a freebie like an ebook and encourage to visit your site. This works incredibly.

  • Just make landing pages with different content and promote these pages through SEO. Nothing more will not give you such quality results as SEO. Good luck!

    • But this seo will take time. right? SEO in this niche is also very competitive
      • [1] reply
  • The best way is to build a list. The best way to do this is to start a mailing list (list building) and get users to join by giving them a free ebook on a related subject. In your case SEO and web design. The best site to find free giveaway products with licenses allowing you to do this is webbzo.com so you don't have to create them.
  • get registered in business directories and involve in social media activities to tell your (business) presence to the world. Concentrate on the targeted customers on the social medias.

  • You are targeting local or international clients?
As you can put your Ads on Facebook and Linkedin.
  • Scrape whois of websites
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • Thanks. Any tool for that? What will be criteria who to call and who not. There will be so many.
  • Using the classified ads and keyword maintenance strategies, we can get the leads automatically by the help of search engine ranking.
  • First thing you need to do is to hire a good seo company that deals in lead generation. Clearly state your requirements to them. Alternatively, you can showcase your services through social media profiles if you are not well aware of seo tactics. Social media plays a better role in bringing potential customers to your business.

  • I give you a few tips:
Firstly you have to define what kind of companies will buy from you.
Secondly, you have to know which a marketing channel you will use to find potential customers (e.g. SEO, SEM, cold emails),
Thirdly you have to create Unique Value Propositions which you will use to appeal to your target group.
After that, you wait for customer contact. When someone contacts you, you have to qualify the lead - you have to gauge someone’s interest in buying, in order not to waste time.
And the last tip remembers b2b sales strategy never end, you can always more. Do not forget about that.

  • Create a Facebook Fanpage, start posting valuable information that you think your potential clients can use. Link it back to your site every now and then.

In time, it will pay off.
  • So let me get this straight. You are starting a company in web design and SEO and you do no know how to get leads? Ummmmm the point of SEO is to get leads. So if you can't get them for yourself then how are you going to do it for clients? Or do you just plan to lie, take their money and then run?
    • [1] reply
    • Why not offer or get them? Yes, it's a slow process, but if it's profitable, why not have it be one of the ways you make money?

If I gave you $100 today for saying my name once and $500 next week for saying my name 3 times, you'd only accept the $100 on account that the $500 is getting to you too slow?

That was my first thought. Then, I thought, maybe the OP's a bright marketer, limited, funds-wise, but bright and doesn't want to rely on only one source.

So, I thought the OP could do ads (local papers, direct mail, call prospects, or even, God forbid, establish themselves as an SEO and web-design authority on a forum like this one!).
