Should I categorize the content on my blog?

I have a question about Wordpress website main menu bar. I have a website where the amount of content is beginning to grow. All of the content is assigned to one category (blog). All of the content somewhat relates. But it could be better categorized. Should I create separate categories for my content? For example, blue widgets, white widgets, red widgets? Would doing this improve SEO?

The reason I ask is because I've always wondered if having keywords in the main menu bar helps SEO for those words.
#blog #categorize #content

Yes, you need to group pages in a logical order.

Look into SEO silos and use internal hierarchy to your advantage for ranking pages on Google SERPs.
