Your heading tag text is terrible for SEO and the bazillion random internal links isn't helping.

Lol it's Costco's not mine... just to clarify . The point here is just to show how a good looking page can still have issues with SEO

I didn't even look at the URL, just glanced at the plain text version of the webpage.

Either way the page sucks, but... Costco is an authority with plenty of followed organic links which can still rank a crappy webpage.

There's a HUGE difference between a crappy webpage and a crappy webpage with a great followed link profile.

            There's a few ways...

You can look at the Google cache by adding cache: to the front of a URL and search on Google Search. Then click the Text-only version link (example). If the text cache link doesn't exist then add &strip=1 to the end of the full cache URL. That will trigger a plain text cache page.

You can also simulate a Google cache (text version) in case Google hasn't cached a webpage yet or you want to see a webpage that Google hasn't recached lately.

Download this web/dev Firefox plugin, use the 3 plugin settings below to simulate a Google Cache (text version) of your webpage.
            • Disable all javascript
            • Disable all images
            • Disable all styles

I wouldn't...not until i asked the client - in this case costco what they wanted to achieve for the page.

If its not meant to be a point of entry or its just something creative for moms on other pages to read I might well leave it as it is...and its fine and the titles would be find for creative reasons

You don't have to optimize every page for SEO. do you have to optimize contact pages, privacy policy pages? nope.

One of the biggest mistakes by SEO types is they think everything has to fit into SEO. Seo is just one advertising medium on the web. Some pages shouldn't even be optimized for SEO if the traffic being driven to it is not supposed to be SEO related

Same principle involved in sales pages and landing pages. IF you ae using media buys to drive traffic to those pages your primary concern is optimizing for conversions not SEO.

The onpage is extremely poor. Links everywhere and the whole code is jumbled. No organization at all.

They don't which is why I listed it with a LOL?

Actually having social network buttons is potentially SEO damaging, note all the issues they generate on Google's PageSpeed Insights Tool. Some can also add links which waste link benefit, some use nofollow.

Overall, not that great SEO wise.

Guys it's ranking because it's a brand period!

Simple as that, there is nothing to complicate about...

      Wrong.

They would only rank because of the followed backlink profile. Branding doesn't rank anything besides the brand/domain name and only because nobody else cares.

With your logic warriorforum.com should be ranking on the first page of Google SERPs for the keyword internet marketing yet they rank at position #62.

Warriorforum.com is literally targeting the keyword digital marketing on all their webpages and aren't even indexed for the keyword on Google SERPs.
