Hello everyone,

I am not the best when it comes to SEO. I find it time consuming and frustrating. So what do you guys think are the best alternatives to SEO?

Just wanted your input on this. Thanks in advance for your response.

If you do not want to use SEO then some other options are
    • PPC
    • Social Media
    • Blogs and forums
These are not the only other options available I am sure, but these are the first ones that come to my mind.
All three of these when used collectively or individually can potentially create more than enough business.
Just keep testing until you find out what works best for you.

How are you defining SEO? What are you trying to accomplish? If you don't want to pay somebody to do SEO, I'm guessing PPC is not on your list of choices, and there is no guarantee that it would be successful anyway. I just did an audit of a client who has 35 ads running. In the past two months there have been a total of 50 displays of the ad, and not a single visit from anybody.

There is a LOT to SEO, but the first question I always ask folks is, "What are you trying to accomplish?"

(p.s.: keep in mind that when optimizing your site for search engines... you know... "search engine optimization"... you can very easily do things that can potentially result in penalties by the search engines... which will drop your traffic to nothing. You can have posts on the greatest blog in the world and be all over social media sites, but if you have been Panda'ed or Penguin'ed, you'll have a job ahead of you cleaning it up)

one bro here and some also mention,

actually you don't need to depend google get massive traffic.

they mention if your FB page have a lot followers, like 50k and more..you just post your post in your page should at least get some traffics from your followers

    bonus if they share it.

" problem is some just maybe click Like and will not click to view your website " some will not bother to click and view despite they follow u

    so is tricky here.

got SEO of course you will get organic traffic from search engine out there etc.

also take times , depend the keywords , number of people search etc.

well I already don't care much about SEO in fact. I just share on social media. that it.

in fact I do see some organic traffic increase but irony my website ranking drop a lot recently I heard google again do something ..perhaps again google dance again..

Sounds to me like you were doing black and grey hat SEO. I don't blame you because White hat SEO is almost never talked about on IM forums.

White Hat SEO brings immediate traffic from real sites AND it helps you to rank. Its not as frustrating because a huge part of it is just making your site better and reaching out to webmasters

I never do SEO but seem to get nice rankings all the time.

Just concentrate on building up traffic sources by linking to your posts from forums and trying to get your link on other websites. Before long you will start seeing traffic and your rankings will gradally increase. Thats the best way to do it.

SEO is time consuming this why many people outsource it, your alternative would be paying for Ads

for sure social media. You can get a lot of exposure and traffic. If i was going to do all my marketing over again i would have stuck mostly with youtube. Youtube alone can make you tons of money.

If you are running on a tight budget you need SEO. Even if you have the money to spend, you still need SEO. So what type of alternative are you looking for?

Is like you want to Advertise your website but looking for an alternative to marketing.

WELL: The only alternative I can think of is either you do it by yourself or you hire someone to do it for you.

Do white hat SEO and you don't need to be great at "SEO"

"SEO is really time consuming" Why?

Because it needs analysis, preparations, timelines, objectives, methods, strategies, etc. and most importantly time to establish from the target users for a long time duration of results.

    "But not frustrating" Why?

Because you didn't even know how SEO really works and evolves in different fields.

I think that PPC is the only alternative to SEO, because SEO itself refers to the Serarch Enggines and only PPC deals with SE as well. So logically PPC is the only alternative here.

Alternative to seo in getting traffic to your site could be quality guest posting (as Leo Widrich of buffer has done) and quality blog commenting (as recommended by Neil Patel). Bonus would be blogs that feature top comments on their post. I would recommend making helpful and entertaining youtube videos too.

You can also try email marketing. First create a lead magnet or offer depending on your target audience to capture their emails (free e-course, ebook, video training and etc.). Then schedule content to be sent regularly in the course of several weeks or months. The content you email could be a shortened version of your blog post and they would have to go to your website to get the full value.

Social media. Check out Reddit, and if you're not spamming, then you can gain some direct traffic from links on there. Join large communities like that, participate and don't spam, but you can slip in your links every so often. If you get a lot of upvotes, you can get thousands of visitors quickly.

Also, Twitter works well once you gain enough followers. Just keep replying to other people's tweets that are relevant to what your website is about.

For SEO though, make sure you have an xml sitemap submitted to Google and Bing webmaster tools.

Pay per click is worth it but if your budget is tight you can also try FB ads or even post in FB groups.
