Ok so I write a new blog page. It gets indexed in like 30 minutes. Then a day later I dont see it indexed anymore. I think this is really weird.

What is the best way to see if the webpage is indexed?
#find #google #indexed #page

Pages usually drop off only to return after a week.

What do you mean by that? Once a page is indexed, it stays in the index.

Try searching by a fairly large (say ten words) unique chunk of the text.

Also keep in mind if the search engines believe your post contains a high level of duplicate content, that post will be removed from the search engine index. Has happened to me on a couple of instances by accident.

Would you care to elaborate on that?

        Certainly..

First of all I know there is a high probability this is the case, and that some duplicate posts do not remain indexed by search engines (some do), through reading on forums and talking to various people.

But as for my experience - I outsourced a few articles for my niche, and posted them on a new weebly blog. I had social bookmarked this blog, and also done other backlinking to it - ie. more than enough for the site to be indexed. For a period of 2-3 weeks i continued to check if it was indexed in Google, it was never indexed, which left me confused. I discovered afterwards, using copyscape, that the articles I outsourced was about 80% in duplicate content with other articles on ezinearticles (i didnt check it at the time I posted it). So basically I concluded that the reason my blog was not indexed after all of this backlinking was the high levels of duplicate content in the 4 posts i had posted, which also backs up the infomation i have previously read about the subject.

can you give us the URL of your new blog post, or better yet you can type the url on google and search if it comes out if it comes out it's indexed, the other method is write the whole title of your blog entry on google.
