Changing IP from US to UK causes the website to come to first page of G

Hello there mates...

I have a website about dog training.

Since last 10 months I started to purchase contextual backlinks for different pages of it.
4 months ago I managed to rank it to page #2 of google for its 3 main keywords.
since last month I noticed that when I google the said keywords with an US IP, I still see the website at page #2 of google, but when I use an UK IP, the website comes to the page #1 (the third result of google!!!)...

May I ask from you experts what can be the reason?

Thank you so much...

  • You can get different results for an search but different city (in same country ) ...

  • Google localizes search results. I don't know where you are located but if you are in the U.K., it is much more likely to bring up sites that are in the U.K.

  • May be the hosting you selected, the hosting server is in UK? You may want to check that.

  • You can get different results on using different IP when you building links for your website!

  • I think this kind of method changing IPs to check rankings in targeted regions is when you have a website of dog training targeting other locations not only from the US but also for the UK. Google US which is .com metric is different from Google UK metric rankings.

  • Google has different kind of results for different country. I would suggest you to check rankings in incognito window from next time to get a better idea also you can check your website ranking over SEMRUSH to know where and at what places your website is ranking well.

  • Thank you all fro your comments.

Well the main question is what is the source of this problem? I need to know why that happened so that I could solve it. I want the website to come to the first page of G for US IPs as well

    Thank you mates.

    • There is apparently significantly easier competition for your keyword phrases in the U.K. versus the U.S., which is almost always the case. The answer to that is the same as it has always been. Build the best content, optimize it perfectly and get as many relevant, high quality links as you can. Eventually, if you do that better than the sites ranking above you for USA-based IP searches, you will pass them. You're just not there yet.
