Conflicting Business Address - help please!

I'm back in this forum because I'm a new business owner and I'm currently putting a lot of focus on optimising my site to improve my search engine ranking. I'm looking for any tips, tricks and advice on how to do this legitimately.
I've recently engaged with an SEO expert which has proved interesting but obviously their charges for a new business are pretty steep, and while it's valid I'm still looking to pick the brains of others for free in here! J
I thought I was quite well versed on the subject but one of the things that came back on my report was that my business address on my website conflicts with the business address on my Google Biz account. If anyone is using Google Biz you know it will only let you add a street address and as I work at home, I didn't particularly want that plastered across my website for privacy reasons.
The thing is that having two addresses listed apparently confuses Google so it is a negative for your SEO score.
Has anyone figured out a way around this? I thought about taking the postal address off of my website all together but this comes with its own problems too...
Would love to hear what everyone else does, particularly those who work from home?
