Hey, just a quick question about internet marketing. It seems like as the internet has grown, a lot of websites in different niches have gotten very big and it's become more and more difficult to compete on SEO if you're working in your basement and trying to outrank a 100-page or 200-page websites. As big websites developed with loads of content and engagement, it became important for niche websites to have larger and larger articles, but it seems like a lot of places are still publishing 500-700 word articles right now.

Is it really beneficial for websites going for ranks to publish articles of 5000+ words on a singular topic with focus on one keyword? Some people do this and seem to get results from it, but is that really better than just adding 10 pages of 500wd content to the website?
Let me know what you guys think.
