Breadcrumbs and SEO?

I just implemented breadcrumbs on my website to improve usability and try to reduce bounce rate.
I noticed in the SERPS that is removes the URL that has all my keywords, and replaces with the category. Is google still looking at the URL? Or have I lost these keywords?
Should I rename my categories so they looks better when shown in the SERPS?
For example now they are:
Folding - Kitchen - Hunting - Camping
Should I change them to?:
Folding Knife - Kitchen Knife - Hunting Knife - Camping Knife
Or is using "Knife" too repetitive and considered stuffing?
