You can build backlinks by comment on other blogs. While adding comments on other blogs include your blog URL.

It is just one of many factors Google considers in their rankings. And it's not just backlinks . . . you have to be careful where the backlinks come from.

There is not one ranking factor that is important above all others.

IMO, the most effective way to rank high in Google is to target keywords that no one else cares about . . . ie, very slight competition. But how does that help you?

But keywords that nobody cares about also means low search volume, which is not profitable in anyway.

I'm really interested in content marketing and I actually don't think that building backlinks is the most effective way to rank highly in Google.

Everyone in SEO talks so much about how getting a ton of backlinks is the number one way to rank a website or a page and on some level, those people are right, they're just taking the wrong approach to get to the same result.

Backlinks provide Google with a signal that you've created a useful piece of content - that's why there are so many places around the web that link to that page, right? By building those Backlinks yourself, you're sending a signal to Google that this page is important because look at how many people are linking to it!

You can also get backlinks organically, and this is a far better method because once you start doing it, you'll never stop, but, how do you actually get people to link to your website without having to create all of the links yourself?

Well, what you do is you create something of value that people want. Instead of writing a lousy, quickly done article and focusing on keyword optimization and other trivialities, pick a topic and find the five best articles about it on the web. Then, learn as much as you can about it from all of those articles. Then, take your own knowledge and expertise in your niche and combine it with that knowledge. Then, write the absolute best article about that subject on the internet. Have a designer create images to go with it. Maybe produce a video or a vlog about it and publish all of it together on the same page so that people who are interested in that topic can visit your page and get all the information they need in one place.

Now that you've actually produced something valuable, marketing it is so much easier. Find out where your potential readers like to hang out online or in real life, network with them, position yourself as an authority and start driving traffic to your page. Things like "building links" are for people that are trying to take a shortcut to success rather than actually producing something of value. Link building definitely works but if you're actually interested in your niche, you'll find it much more beneficial to be a part of the community that you're writing for and market that way.

    Just my two cents!

With online communities and forums you can develop a reputation for your enterprise. Show them what you are made of and wow them with your selection of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your experience and understanding .

You could also use newsletters. Provide people with a catalog of your goods and interesting and entertaining posts. If you help it become really interesting and entertaining, more and more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it with other individuals. The more people who symptoms up for your newsletter, the more people you will see that will go to your site increasing your traffic.

Another great concept is trading links with other sites. You don’t need to pay out a cent. All you need to do is attain a binding agreement with another webmaster. With exchanging links, the efforts both sites do will advantage each sites. Each traffic that will go to the site may potentially simply click the link of one's own site and see your site as well. This functions well particularly when both sites feature the exact same niche.
