DA & PA decreased and a "limit" to how many pages are indexed?

Hello all,

I have noticed something rather strange ever since I started to write more articles on my site. I do at least 2 per week now, sometimes more. All of my articles are unique as I write them myself with the help of YOAST readability algorithms.

What I've noticed is that since May 31st my Domain Authority has decreased from 38 to 36. Also my Page Authority decreased from 47 to 39.

Another mysterious thing that I can't wrap my mind around is that there seems to be a "limit" to how many pages appear on Google.

For almost a year now the limit seems to be around 1290. I have re-crawled my site using Webmaster Tools and it goes above 1300 for a little while just to bounce back below 1300 shortly.

I am not doing anything on my site that might contribute to this (like deleting posts or pages). I know it's probably weird, but I really feel like there is a hard limit as to how many pages of my site can be indexed.

Can anyone explain this?

My spam score is 0 and I have never been involved with shady link building strategies. I feel like I'm 100% white hat.

DA and PA have nothing to do with publishing content, so I don't know why you think a decrease is odd.

As for the indexed pages, someone would have to really look at the site to even try to guess why you are seeing that issue.

Hmm. I have always thought that DA and PA are related to the quality of your overall website and not just about the quality of incoming links.

Nope. They have nothing to do with your website.

I don't know why more people don't just read the definition straight from Moz. It is their metric, and they do not hide what it is about.
