Amazon Follow Backlinks From Author Page

Today I discovered that if you have a book on Amazon and you have an author page, you can get backlinks pointing to your website that are follow.

It gets better. Amazon allows you to post a RSS feed from your website onto the Author Page's Author Updates section.

So for example
https://www.amazon.com/Tom-Crandall/e/B01N3NRURS

If you look at my Author page, it has my RSS feed with links pointing to articles I have written. These links are high quality DA links that will probably not get stepped on by Google.

Each one of these links is currently a follow link.

If I can boost the Page Authority through a backlink campaign to the Author page, I can have a serious high domain/Page Authority backlink to each of my articles.

Amazon right now according to Moz has a DA of 98.

If you have a Wordpress website, Amazon makes it easy to add your RSS feed to the Author page.

For Wordpress Amazon just need the URL/Feed
#amazon #author #backlinks #follow #page

Sorry to burst your bubble, but...

Google evaluates links based on the page they are on. All you are building is fairly low quality PR 0 links.

Google does not care about DA.

No doubt Amazon is a high authority site in the eyes of Google, but they are not giving you any extra credit for those links. You could get the same value from setting up a brand new website and putting a link on there.

Actually if you build backlinks to that page it's going to raise the Page Rank and then links will become very good. If you specifically write books that target keywords you are looking to rank for, the links will also be very relevant.

I looked at my brother's Author Page and it has a 50+ Page Rank, so the backlinks are golden.

IMO it is better than building a website to help boost ranking on the money site.

Most SEO link building schemes I have seen lately now say you have a 2 tiered linking structure. Natural links on the first tier and then a backlink strategy to the 1st tier backlinks. That way your raising the Page Rank of the links pointing to your money site rather than having unnatural links pointing to it directly.

Sure if you build backlinks to a page the links will be better. That is the exact same as if it was a new page on a new website.

And a 50+ Page Authority means nothing. It is not a search engine ranking factor. Google doesn't care what the PA or DA is.

You created a PR 0 page. What Moz thinks of it doesn't mean anything. Anyone that has followed Moz's metrics will tell you that they long have overvalued pages on big domains like Amazon.

You are clearly new to SEO and linking strategy in general.

Building links to your author page on Amazon, then adding links to a useless PR 0 page (I know PR is now an irrelevant and intangible metric) Is not the way forward.

If you are able to get quality links then point them somewhere of value, your attempt at 'natural looking' two tier linking is far from it I'm afraid.Too many Links to profiles are not natural, i'd love to see your intended anchors.

If you can't get decent links then pointing lots of low quality links at a buffer site like an Amazon profile isn't good. You are still part of a link chain that begins with poor quality.

Maybe take a look at this as for a beginner it will help https://www.gotchseo.com/backlinks/

There are loads of sites that you can get back links from, sites where you can add value which makes linking to them more credible and 'natural'.

I will give you this for free: Deviant art dot com . Upload some art, your business logo will do, then add a link. Ask for people to take a look and critique it. Build you profile page up, adding interests and everything else. Now use this as a buffer.

I think its a good idea but this link alone cant help you but its a worth link in my opinion. They wont be considered much powerful as if that would be the case I would build 100s of blogger blog which have very high DA.
