Why am I not getting traffic from search engine

I need your advice guys! I had setup a niche blog 3 weeks ago.

I did On page SEO and posted 10 good quality unique articles for my niche. I targeted 1 keyword per article. I was expecting to start getting search engine traffic from google or bing but it is not the case.

I don't have plans to use link building for getting traffic. If we have good quality content, then google sends us the traffic naturally but in my case, it is not happening.

Can you please suggest what am I missing here or what you did exactly to receive traffic from google?

Is 3 weeks enough to expect traffic from Google?

My idea is based on the theory that we don't need to do marketing/advertise anywhere for our site as long as we have good quality content.

My site has already 10 quality articles. Though it is not enough but I am not expecting loads of traffic with 10 articles. I am just looking for a start or trickle of a traffic. but till now, Google analytics show nothing which is really disappointing.

Please HELP

I started my new niche site about 3 weeks ago and it is getting traffic already. Have you done the usual crap? submit your url to google and bing? Add your sitemap to webmaster tools? I don't know if it helps but add google analytics too!

For most searches, backlinks are needed in order to get listed on page one. If you're not on page one, don't expect much traffic - especially if you are not marketing your site's pages in any other way, including socially.

This doesn't mean that content alone, cannot rank well. If a phrase has very weak competition or if your content is so much better than other website AND your site has been on the web for a long time and has a good domain authority, it can rank without backlinks.

In your case with a new website, I am guessing you will need to get some quality backlinks unless the competition is incredibly weak.

How will other people know that your site has quality content if you don't brag about it? You have to promote your content eventually. Are you ranking for any keywords (with decent search volume) which are relevant to these quality articles of yours?

The best of profitable visitors which you can get to your site is from Organic search results. This means, when people search for a thing and land on your website, because these are the people who are most likely to convert into customers or clients. In blogging, it’s also more profitable as users will be seeing more high CPC Adsense ads, as they will be seeing ads based on their search term. Even direct advertisers look for blog, which gets natural traffic from search engines. Now, there are a lot of search engines like Google, Bing, but we mostly target Google as it’s one of the most used and popular search engines. For bing, you can refer to our earlier guide on Getting started with Bing Webmaster tools.

    Hello,

Only 10 posts are not enough to get traffic from Search Engine.

To get lot of traffic from search engine you may follow some steps, like:

    * Post at least 3/4 High quality long article on your blog (Quality Content is King)
    * Ensure that Search engine has index your pages (Google & Bing)
    * Submit your site to various search engine.
    * Share your site in Social Media sites
    * and lastly you must have to make Quality Backlink to increase the visibility of your site in Search engine.

If you follow these steps, wish you will get the result.

  • Have you done SEO Audit for your website?
I would advice you to give it a try to find out errors or inaccuracies in the on-page part of the website.
Use third party SEO tools like GTmetrix, majestic seo and moz.
Another reason you might not be getting traffic could be that the website has more backlinks from questionable sources, should check it out from the google search console.

You can search in Google and Bing for keywords you are using about your niche and learn from websites which are appearing in search results.

You can try paid advertising also using Google AdWords and Bing ads.

Hello, 10 posts is 9 more than you need to rank.

Yes, it is possible to have only 1 post and rank that post.

What you are missing is an understanding of how search engines rank web pages.

It's kind of like how people choose their high school prom queen: votes. Backlinks are votes. Except that the vote of popular kids carries more umph than the vote of some outcast or even nerdy teacher's pet.

So, your strategy is flawed. Change strategy. You can either create backlinks, buy backlinks, pay for ads, pay for ads and hope some of the people who see your stuff will link to it, do social media and hope the same hope as above.

You either pay for traffic or get votes. Just creating content, despite the content-is-king mantra, won't do crap for your pocket.

List of things needed to rank #1 on Google.

    1. On-page Optimization

    Alt-tags for images
Titles and descriptions for each blog post/page/homepage

Permalink structure - utilizing keywords in the permalink structure helps with SEO

If your domain has a term or a keyword in it that should help rank as well
inner and outter linking - use "authority links" throughout each article and webpage on your website (aka find other websites that relate to your information and link to them on your articles.

    add images and videos
Keyword density within each article and page
    2. Google webmaster tools and Google analytics tools

Load Google Analytics onto your website. You can load a plugin to help with this if you need.
    https://www.google.com/analytics/#?modal_active=none

Get a Google Webmaster Tools account https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...me?hl=en&pli=1

Download a Google XML sitemap plugin for WordPress or get your sitemap document and add it to Google Webmaster Tools. This will let Google know what is on your website.

Utilizing Googles website markup in Google webmaster tools as well will also tell Google what type of content is on your website.

    3. Build a Private blog network (PBN). This allows you to create blogs to link from to your "money site" aka your current blog that you are trying to rank.

    4. Adwords can help but that is only temporary and can get costly if the keywords you are targeting are very competitive.

    5. Create a Facebook page, a Twitter page and a Google + page for your blog. Advertise on Facebook to get followers on your facebook page and your website.

    6. Create a YouTube channel for your blog and create videos.

There are many ways to build a following and its not only your blog. You need to access all that the internet has to offer in order to build up a following of people that visit your blog consistently.

All of the above listed items can help build a following but the main goal here is to get as much internet real-estate as possible for your blog on the web.

Having social media accounts, videos, and your blog are all content that points to your blog. If you utilize all of it consistently your organic results will increase over time. The only real way to get rankings quickly is to advertise.

Organic search for Google and most search engines can be manipulated but without backlinks or marketing it will take time. Even with backlinks it takes time. I tell this to all my clients and potential clients, Organic white-hat SEO is a marathon not a sprint.

That is such a big care for so many people in the internet marketing, and home-based business.

Their are innumerable number of do's and don'ts pertaining to gaining traffic on the big #3s, yet many are still having a lack of it.

Many literally go bankrupt doing ppc and all the other stuff that advertising has to offer just to get traffic.

On the other hand, 10 quality articles? that is a whole lot to get traffic in my opinion. However, there might be some other unknown issues that expert would detect. And might be there is nothing wrong except as some mentioned earlier, your keywords are very competitive.

Hope things change for the better vey soon, especially for the holiday.

Without marketing your pages, without creating backlinks you can't increase your ranking. To get traffic you have to be number #1 on SERP then you will start to get some visitors. Its not easy as you think. And you are living on wrong theory. Backlinks are still important and one of the most effective ranking factor using by Google Search Engine. Start to create links today to beat your competitors. Happy working

Start with checking your rankings for the keywords. To get the traffic you need to rank, and on-page tactics alone may be enough in case the keywords are low-competitive in the region you are targeting for. To rank for competitive keywords you`ll have to add some off-page activities and improve your backlink profile, as there will be no visitors naturally in case your articles are nowhere to be found, even in case the content is great. These are also the natural markers to prove your content to be valuable - whether people are linking to it and sharing it.

So try focusing on increasing the rankings to make your content visible to potential visitors - check the indexation, proper internal linking, gain some quality links and you`ll see the traffic increase.

Your website is 3 weeks old? Wait one more day and you're going to get HUGE amounts of traffic. The traffic always comes on the 22nd or 23rd day after launching.

SEOGhost makes a good point though in a humorous was: t'is better to have a clue; t'is better to have realistic expectations. It is truly better not to freak out that your 3-weeks old blog is not ranking and getting tons of visits than to freak out.
