Help! Site deindexed by Bing

Apparently a site of mine got deindexed by bing (and msn) I am pretty sure I was getting some traffic from bing about a month or two ago. Haven't really done much with the site in a while, started on some article marketing and link building about a week ago, but just a few links here and there, nothign extreme.

Is there anyway to get a site indexed by bing? I am on or near first page on google for my target keywords, and around 5th page on yahoo (while my squidoo page with 5 times less content and 6 links or so is on the 4th.. oh the fun of seo lol)

Didn't do anything other than white hat marketing (mostly article submission with a bit of social bookmars and some blog comments) So no idea why my site wouldn't be indexed by bing (that is when I search for my sites domain, it doesn't come up) site been around for about 6 months.

Anyone has any idea how I might fix this or had somethign similar happen with bing?

Personally, I would not worry with Bing. Just my opinion. I stay focussed on Google. Anything else is cake.

I've had this happen to one of my sites as well. You said you've started doing a bit of light article marketing and social bookmarking for your website. Have you also made a few on-page changes? I had a site that was ranked #3 for my core keyword in Bing, I made a number of title and meta tag changes was completely removed from the index for about 4 or 5 days. After that my site was reindexed and my rankings were mostly restored.

My advice: Don't worry about it for now. Check your site again with Bing in another 1 - 2 weeks. It will probably be there.

Bing is very slow at indexing pages. So for this month it visits my sites 1 time every day but only indexes 1 or 2 pages per visit.

In contrast, Google visits my sites several times a day and has indexed anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 pages per site already this month.

I am not sure but I think Bing likes some fresh backlinks. If you can get those for your site, then it will be indexed regularly and faster by Bing.

This is what I observed for my sties and but sure if this will work for others too.

    This just made me smile.

Turns out there are ways you can actually verify this. No point in guessing.

How would you know if you were "deindexed" if you have no real proof of what had happened in the past. Is "deindexed" a word?
