Hey guys, I am trying to decide on the best blogging strategy for my blog page on my site. Should I simply create good blogging content with the best kw's and a good image or would infographics be the better option please?

    Images aren't plain text.

Plain text doesn't require any effort for a Google bot, it's text, bots scrape text.

Google can read some text on an image but I'm sure that's an alternative bot and not the main algo.

Use plain text If you want the text indexed. No guessing involved.

Hmnn, reason why I am looking into this option is because of this I read in an article on blogging:

Infographics are a powerful way of combining text and images to get your message across. People like to share good infographics which makes them especially viral.

In that case as far as SEO, indexing the content (infographic) doesn't matter. It would be more about the backlinks on other domain/pages.

Got it, thx. So you have a blog page on your site, is there any way you can or should incorporate infographics on your site itself or would that be best for SM posting like Facebook?

You can have an infographic and plain text on one page. It's not like you can only have one or the other.

Info graphics are very likely to be used for external income like they are shareable. And it does matters to these days also. They can earn for you from the outside of your industry also. So there are so many sites where you can create them so just put some effort on it.

For blogging it can help your blog to be more genuine or people can understand it in easy way. It can help in these situations.

But won't having an infographic on the same blog page be showing basically the same content of the entire page?

I use the content on my blog to create an infographic that I pin on pinterest that links back to my blog post.
